Prince Albert was there when Gerard Larcher, President of the Senate, presents the Legion of Honor Officer insignia to Stephane Valeri, President of the National Council of Monaco at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco on 15 March.

Albert works very very hard...too hard imo. And with his exhaustion health scare late last year I am becoming concerned for him.
If his consort refuses to pick up the pace and lighten the load by taking on more duties I wish SOMEONE in the family would.
Jacques is far too young at this point to succeed his father.

Yes, one feels that if he asked her to open a fete in Monaco it wouldn't happen but if he asked her to do something in S Africa she'd be there in a shot. She's going over again soon for a horse race but never accompanies him on any official trips in Europe which are only ever 1 to 3 hours away and solo engagements for her in Monaco are practically non existent these days. Even if he did want heirs surely he could have found a young woman who would also have been willing to do the job of Princess properly.
