Prince Albert met with Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs, in Monaco today, February 22.

Moscovici was in Monaco to sign an agreement allowing the exchange of tax information. The agreement, that is to be ratified by 2018, will ensure total tax transparency between Monaco and the 28 states of the European Union.

In presence of Prince Albert, Minister of State Serge Telle received the Basketball players of the "Roca Team" yesterday, February 23. They had won the Leaders Cup 2016.

On March 2nd Prince Albert attended the 3rd Monte Carlo Film Festival de la Comedie in Monaco, one day later, March 3rd, he viewed an exhibition about Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. "Her name was Jackie" runs from March 4 to May 29 at the Gallery Ferrero in Nice, France.

Yesterday, March 4, Prince Albert opened a symposium on the theme "Media and environment in the Mediterranean" in Monaco:

As President of the Monegasques Red Cross Prince Albert handed out the diplomas during the annual ceremony this week:

The Monaco Matin article mentions the incident where Grace, at the instigation of Jackie Kennedy, dressed up as a nurse to visit a seriously ill JFK in the hospital in the early 1950's. It says there is actually a photo of Grace sitting on JFK's bed...how I would love to see that!

Yesterday, March 17, Prince Albert as Patron attended the opening of the International Monaco and the Mediterranean Symposium (RIMM) and presented the RIMM 216 award to Thierry Fabre, founder of the Rencontres d'Averroes.

On March 18 Prince Albert attended a charity gala dinner as part of the fourth annual Summit Monaco Private Label (MPL). The dinner was held to benefit the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

An official visit to another country is something I would expect him and his wife to be doing together. Why did he bother to get married if he's still going to do these things alone?

He "needed" a legitimate heir. He didn't really because he had Caroline's family but I think they're not interested in taking on the job (contrary to what some commentators would have one believe).
