Yesterday evening, July 20, Prince Albert attended the 30th anniversary gala dinner of the Latin America Night in Monaco. Among the guests were the Duke and Duchess of Castro.

On July 20 Prince Albert inaugurated "La Maison d'Amelie" (Amelie's Home) for handicapped children and adults and their families in Annot, France, not far from Monaco. The project is supported by the association Monaco Disease Power.

The Franco-Iberian Royals Message Board: Prince Sovereign meets the Press....

Albert II has some interesting events coming up in the autumn. Sept 23-25 is the UN General Assembly in NYC with Monaco holding the Vice Presidency of this session of the UN General Assembly. In October he has a 5 day political/economic/cultural visit to Russia. He will be accompanied by 50 business leaders and the Monte Carlo Ballet will perform during the visit.

Albert II certainly seems to make many more of these diplomatic/political/economic/cultural type visits than his father ever did. I am not sure if Rainier ever made these type of visits outside of France/Italy/Ireland/USA where as Albert II has traveled the globe since coming to the throne.
