Well, in my opinion, a black cocktail/evening dress like this (pic posted by Iceflower), is inappropriate for a soccer match. Too dressy.
Here you can see Queen Sophia and Princess Elena at the same event!

I see. Well that makes sense.
No I wouldnt think to wear a cocktail dress to a soccer match...but Albert wore a suit so what is she supposed to wear? Also, when you used the term "inappropriate" it implied (at least IMO) that she was wearing something a little scandalous.

Do you really think that a woman has to wear an evening dress each time a man is wearing a suit?
Anyways, I know that my English is very bad, but inappropriate or not appropriate should mean not suitable, not right, not correct, and not something a little scandalous!

I like to see Prince Albert and Charlene together at as many events as possible. She is after all his "official companion", girlfriend in our terms. I don't like to see him alone. He seems happy to share his life with her. Although I don't understand why he doesn't marry her, she is playing an important role in his life bringing stability to it. She may not be the best dresser, but lately she has been looking lovely and her new haircut is very flattering. No doubt that she is a very pretty woman and we all now he has been interested in her for many years. Now they share a life together and that is good. At all these events, she seems discreet and not flashy. Let's not forget that she has been an athlete for most of her life and it shows. But she is learning to carry herself well and with confidence. Let's give her a chance.

There has been a transformation from Charlene the athlete to Charlene the "girlfriend" of a prince. However she has been in the spotlight for a long enough time to know better some times. I am sure she will improve but I wonder why she agrees to go on like this in limbo while the prince clearly states that there is no marriage in the future.

Yes, the prince is very clear in his "public" statements. What he says privately may be quite different. He does know the power of the media and is very determined to be master of his life.

Good pics, very rare to see Monacos Royals in Austria (maybe again at the beachvolleyball event?) Nice the pic6 of iceflower where alll are smiling and looking to the left,mid (from their point of view) except our litlle boss "Gusi". Didn´t see them on TV when the game was running.

maybe that is the kind of dress albert love to see her wearing that is why she have a lot of them in different colours, but you are right too short it send a wrong message and image to the people that she hope one day to become their princess.

Charlene's dress has nice color, but neckline is too low. And Albert's shirt is too open too.

Really fabulous to see them together still. I hope to see them again after the Beijing Olympics.
Could Cwpls put Pa on a diet and exercise program? I mean she is a world class athlete. He is a bit heavy if my eyes do not deceive me.

It feels as though Charlene is made to "know her place" and that Stephanie is the one who is trying to make C-W feel comfortable here. Is it like this at all public events for them? Why is Stephanie so nervous and what was Albert's role?
