Pierre Casiraghi, son of Princess Caroline of Hanover, arrives at Hotel Eden in Rome 06 July 2007, for the celebration of the 45th anniversary of Valentino. Italian fashion designer Valentino broke with a 17-year tradition of unveiling his luxurious haute couture collections for women in Paris. Instead, to mark the 45th anniversary of his design house, the veteran 75-year-old designer returned to Rome to present his made-to-order creations for autumn-winter 2007-08 on July 7. As well as the show, a host of events is planned to celebrate the milestone in the city where the designer, christened Valentino Garavani but known the world over simply by his first name, opened his first atelier in 1959.

Wow, flashback to his father in the 70's! And I love that he is bold enough to wear an outfit that looks like it came from the wardrobe of Saved by the Bell!

OMG, Pierre has COMPLETELY stepped his game up. LOL. He is very attractive now. If he gained about 10 pounds of muscle? He would REALLY have a problem with the ladies.

I don't have a link, but if anyone here is a reader of People magazine, you will notice that Pierre was listed in the issue about Teen millionares, or whatever, as the richest teenaged royal. He tops Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie!

Small wonder there. With the Casiraghi investments -- I know Stefano left a ton of debt behind, but I have a hunch that his brother Marco really invested well and turned things around for their companies -- on top of whatever he inherited from Prince Rainier, and whatever money his mother may have in a trust fund for him, I can see him topping the York girlies.
Prince Andrew doesn't have a amazing fortune to speak of, and Sarah Ferguson, though making a comeback from her own debt issues, still apparently "works" to continue her lifestyle. I know the York princesses inherited maybe a quarter million each from the Queen Mother. It still falls short of what we all imagine the Casiraghi-Hanover-Grimaldi families nesting on. Although the House of Grimaldi is not as "royal" as the House of Windsor, I imagine the Grimaldis are considerably wealthier, at least in terms of personal fortune. The Windsors have so much of their fortune entailed in properties, making it difficult to know exactly what they can claim personal ownership to.
