[quote=LadyMacAlpine] Thanks for the link, I was getting the same blank message too.
And now that I see the picture I regret clicking on it! What was he thinking of!?! If he wants to be taken seriously, you don't walk around carrying a half dressed and probably drunk woman!
I like the last picture below, Albert at the other side of the desk of Pope Benedict, like a school boy at the Principal's office. Come to think of it, this should have been a perfect opportunity for Pope Benedict to have Albert extend his hands so he could smack them with a ruler.

Yes, I agree with you, LadyMacAlpine, absolutely :) Every man is a child inside! Someone likes to hide it, someone prefers to be himself. I am sure Albert is just a very Humorous, Playful and Loving person :) I cannot understand why all the pics of him (even if he is the head of state now) must be serious, sedate and ceremonious. He is still a single man. Of course, such pic could be considered as an inappropriate if he would be married or seriously dated with someone (by the way, that back and behaviour looks like NC :p ). ...Besides, it's almost impossible to control all the pics taken all over the world. And what for if you have a chance to appear as a "mere mortal"? Not shark, but playful dolphin...or gold fish One way or another, we all want to be accepted as we are...sometimes mad...sometimes stupid....sometimes rudicoulos...but always sincere and open...

Actually I thought it was his ex-gf Naomi Campbell from some time ago. She was in Michael Jackson's video filmed in the desert that Stephanie was on. I like your signature the Grimaldi motto is 'Deo Juvante' (With God's Help)

What's the difference ...one NC ...another NC, both are in the past...
:) A few years ago I saw the phrase "Sometimes we should leave it to God" in the introduction to one good movie. It was reflection of my views on life and I decided to take it as my motto It's funny, later I noticed that these words have something in common with Grimaldi' 'Deo Juvante' :)

I knew they would use a uniform photo for the "official" portrait. :) I'm a sucker for blue eyes and a uniform...

The new photo is great and Albert looks fantastic :) But hey! where did you see the blue eyes? They are dark on the pic. I think the blue color would be noticeable face to face only or on the pic with a big resolution

:) I trust you, but in my previous message I wrote about his eyes on the new official pic. Are they really blue on the pic or I don't see it on my computer screen?

Nice pictures!
I don't know if this qualifies as news, but the Final Jeopardy question today asked what two European monarchs share the same name and number.
Sadly, none of the contestants guessed correctly (One of them said Beatrix VII!)
Of course, the answer was Albert II.
:-D

Prince Albert of Monaco at the celebration of the Saint Devote. The legend of Devote, the country's patron saint and founder, is a cherished part of Monegasque heritage. Every year on 26 January a torchlit ceremony is held for her at the Church of St Devote. According to the tradition, a small boat is set alight on the harbour, by the "Vallon des Gaumattes", with the participation of the Grimaldi family. This very symbolic celebration can be explained thanks to the story of Sainte Devote. She was most certainly born in Corsica, in the year 283 A.D.; she was hounded and tortured because of her Christian faith. When her wounded body was being burnt at the stake, confessors of the faith snatched it away and escaped by boat with the intention of going to Africa. Unfortunately, the winds were not favourable and the sailors fell asleep. A dream instructed them to continue their journey and follow a dove. They finally arrived near Monachon, in the "Vallon Gannates" (Vallon des Gaumattes) where the body of the martyr was laid to rest. Subsequently, a few miracles occurred, people spread the news and Devote became the Patron Saint of Monaco.26/01/2006.
