Please remember to be respectful when posting. I understand that sometimes these conversations can be heated, especially in light of the recent discussion, but please remain civil. I suggest that before posting your response, sit back and think about whether or not you would like to hear these same comments said to you. Also remember that the people that we discuss have feelings as well. While it's perfectly acceptable to disagree with their actions, do so in a respectful manner.
Also remember to give credit to your sources when posting pictures. All uncredited photos will be deleted.

Garbriella -
Shouldn't this thread be renamed HSH, Prince Albert II - Part XIII?
Thanks for the great job you're doing!

Aloha and long time no post....my family lives in Mississippi, some on the Gulf Coast and the past week has been taxing. Everyone's okay but no communication is just plain scary.
I tried to catch up quick and I'm going to have to give Sonia a thumbs down. Not that she's not quite perfect for the job but, I just do not see it.
I also viewed those kind of trashy pics on the last thread, you know with the vamp looking blond and I was wondering....
Does anyone else think that the role of HSH Princess of Monoco has become less attractive because Albert has been in So So So many picutres with women? Not just women but some very questionable women. I mean, he sort of seems to hang out with a lot of women who talk to tabloids. And they may be lying but they're probably not all lying. (statistically speaking) In addition to the pictures there are tons of tasteless stories. I just think this has or will hurt Monoco. What repectable woman would tie themselves to this cart? Just some questions for conversation sake.
Mahalo and pray for the Gulf Coast.

First, i'm glad your family is doing OK. This is undoubtedly a very difficult time for everyone living in the region.
I think Sonia is very beautiful and while there are a few inappropriate pictures of her (the previous thread) she certainly seems more modest in her demeanor than Albert's previous "girlfriends". There is something about her that like, an inexplicable feeling.
I think in general the Grimaldi's have become less attractive and rather scandalous, but they have no one to blame for that but themselves. Therefore it seems difficult to think that someone like Sonia couldn't fulfill the role of HSH The Princess of Monaco.

There is a lot of glamourous international events in Monaco - often in sports or arts. Official pictures are taken at those events and that might explain why we so often see Prince Albert II in pictures with fashionable beauties. That doesn't mean he desesperately dates anyone who wears a dress (to paraphrase) !

Right. And Sonia joins the Grimaldi in a lot of functions. She helps Stephanie with Fight Aids Monaco with Albert and Bernard Montiel. She was there at the ' Qui veut gagner des millions' tv-game-show . She participated there just like Stephanie - it was planed that she plays as a partner with Albert but Albert unfortunatly couln't participate because of too many obligations.

Thanks for your kind words.:)
I think Sonia is beautiful too and I actually did not think any of her pictures were innappropriate. She's great and he would probably be way lucky to have her. I just do not get the impression that she's into him. And the reason I don't is because she does seem to be a nice girl with a bright future. (And a boyfriend?) In light of that, I just started wondering why any nice woman with a bright future would take on Monoco because they have really damaged themselves.
Another observation. I have noticed that in Many Many picutures Albert throws his arm around whomever he is posing with. I saw a pic where Albert had, on each arm, a very obviously gay man. And then theres all the picutures with all the women, most of whom we can assume he did not date. Still it's the body language. My sense it that he was just being generous. He's a celebrity trying to help make a nice memory for someone who is a fan. Now, look at the British Royals. You probably won't see Prince Charles throwing his arm around people for pictures. Sure, there different men but PC looks to be a little smarter on this front.

Let me say perhaps the difference is who their mother was and how she treated her children. Example when Prince Charles greeted his mother she shook his hand after being gone for weeks at a time. Grace was affectionate with her's. There are many things I could say however at this time I won't.

I do not think anything serious is between Sonia and Prince Albert. It is the same scenario as Sallie Toussaint who also was seen with him. These lovely ladies participated in various social events in Monaco and accompanied Prince Albert to certain functions. They are mainly very good friends of the prince and were available to be his escort. Is there an article with Prince Albert confirming these ladies were more to him than good friends? Is so, please print the url (on this thread) I would love to read it.
Prince Albert is noted as being the most eligible European billionaire bachelor and ruler of the Principality. This puts him right at the top of the most eligible bachelor’s list. So many women desire to be in his company. Some women make it and some do not. These women who put themselves in awkward positions get ignored or they do not receive the polish manner they feel due. These are the women who create the biggest fuss. People resent rejection and once they are rejected this is usually when the drama starts.
As far as the negative article appearing in the Norwegian tabloid, it came from people who are sour as grapes.
Keep in mind, we are only hearing one side of the story and it is slanted to accommodate the person who reported it. Also these old tired rags will print anything if it can produce sales.
What people feel is best for the prince, for some reason he does not feel this way. He is not listening and will only get married when he is ready, not a minute sooner.
This is only my opinion concerning Prince Albert...:)
Dear Leahteresa, my prayers go out to you and your family and all of the victims of this horrific hurricane.

I must disagree with you here. The fact that the Grimaldis have been involved with all sorts of people, bodyguards, models, athletes, etc. shows that they are not pompous or stuck up. On the contrary they come across as openminded and friendly. That does not make them less attractive in my eyes.
People who are willing to take risks often cause scandals but how utterly boring would a person be who never takes a chance. Besides those who never take risks never get anywhere.
I completely disagree that the Grimaldi family has degraded in any way. The people in Monaco show enourmous affection for their sovereign. I was in Monaco in July and my darling prince smiled at me from every shopwindow. It was very heartwarming. It is impolite of us to be degrading him or any of his siblings.
Those who are faultless can throw stones but the rest of us better look first at ourselves.
Take care folks
Donna
