She is really, really. unlucky. All we can do now is pray for her quick recovery so that she will be able to join her loved ones in Monaco in a very short time.

I don't understand something... in one post was written, that Prince Albert said, she can come back home earlier, she is well. Now this news.. which was earlier? This collapse or the news from Prince Albert?

The interview was made prior to the new prolapse. But I think it‘s a good, reassuring sign that Prince Albert was in Ireland today and in good spirits (see his current events thread), it suggests that Princess Charlene is indeed better after the stay in hospital.

She was flown to a hospital 150 miles away...but I thought that she couldn't fly in her condition?

The princess was not ill when she flown to SA and not a hospital as you said it
But with this serious infection she caught in mau, she cannot fly with a plane, it is not adviced by the medical team to fly with a plane, it is too dangerious
After the Princess Charlene of Monaco foundation , the princess was rushed by ambulance to the hospital

South Africa isn't 150 miles from Monaco, so I am quite sure that Moonmaiden is talking about her being admitted to hospital this week for which she apparently was flown to a hospital...
It could be that she can fly at lower altitudes but not at higher altitudes; a flight for 150 miles won't go as high as an intercontinental flight.

If the issue was potentially serious the need to be seen quickly may have outweighed the risk of setbacks from the flight. Which does lead me to wonder why she was so far away from a hospital with staff equipped to deal with ENT emergencies. Albert’s recent interview sounded encouraging, so maybe this latest complication was something that truly came out of the blue. Given everything that’s happened in the last couple of months, though, staying close to her specialist team would seem like a no brainer to me.

Earlier this evening, the Palace of Monaco issued a statement on the state of health of Princess Charlene.
Quote:
On the night of September 1, Her Serene Highness, Princess Charlene of Monaco, was taken to the hospital after fainting due to complications from a serious ENT infection. Her Highness is closely followed by her medical team, who commented that her state of health is not worrisome.

I really agree with you, it shows the seriousness of her state. Mind you, everything proves that her staying away for so long, is due to a very serious illness.

I don't know what to believe as the stories are contradicting.
Albert himself told People magazine that since the surgery Charlene was doing very well and was ready to come home and could be planning to return to Monaco soon.
However on the other hand "sources" are saying that she has been "very weak and fragile" from the last operation. Her latest collapse would support this version, not Albert's.
Nothing has made sense with this whole ordeal.

Sorry, I haven't been following the news lately. Where is she exactly in South Africa right now?
Healthcare (for the white minority) used to be very good during the apartheid era, but I don't know the current state of the healthcare system in the country, which unfortunately seems to have been falling apart at least since the Zuma era.

She's said to be staying at a lodge in a game reserve 150 miles outside of Durban. She was hospitalized in Durban. Considering that she is staying in a very rural area and was taken to Durban, I don't assume there are many hospitals in the area where she's been staying.

Which is another thing I don't understand. Charlene's health has apparently been serious for months and she says her medical team has been " monitoring" her....she has very recently come off a 4 hour surgical procedure.
So why is she in a remote game reserve 150 miles from a good hospital? Where are the physicians who are her medical team? Is there a nurse living with her?

Last week, she was perhaps very well and the doctors were optimist and Monaco Matin said that the interview took place on wednesday in the afternoon just some hours before Charlene collapsed and rushed in the hospital
For Albert, the problem was the return to Monaco she could take the plane without the infection even if she is frail, she could go on her recovery at Monaco in the palace, Albert said that Charlene wants to return to Monaco , she said she would take clandestinely a boat to return to Europe
We don"t know the medical file of the princess, what sort of procedures she had, how she is now, are there a lot of doctors near her, a nurse?, Chantell Wittstock said that the doctors don't know still why Charlene collapsed,
The south africa tabloids said anything, Channel 24 published a press release of the palace what is not true, The palace published a press release late in the evening yesterday and it is not the same, the palace don't talk about a procedure on september 3th, It only said that the princess is closely followed by a medical team
Charlene predered to live in this safari house instead to live in a hotel where there would be a lot of paparazzi around, this safari house is said to protect the rhinos and she worked with it,
Charlene is sick also let her in peace and respect her choices

There seems to be conflicting reporting on the recent health issues surrounding P Charlene. Most reputable sources indicate she was taken to a Netcare hospital in Ballito, some 50+ km north of Durban. The Netcare chain of hospitals provide excellent private healthcare in the country. Most of the private game reserves in the province are situated in the northerns parts, which means she was probably not too far from health care.
The statement from the Palace mentioned another procedure was due on Sept 3, which now obviously will have to be postponed and will influence the date of her return to Monaco. Chantell Wittstock, who heads up the SA branch of the PCMF, stated the doctors were unsure what caused her recent distress. She was discharged fairly soon, maybe an indication that the issue was not too serious. I am concerned as to the mental impact of all this on the Princess: her physical health, the separation from her husband and children and the relentness vicious rumours in the press. This cannot be easy on her. I wish her the support of all who care for her, as well as a swift physical recovery.

news and information about Albert, Charlene and family
I doubt about the procedure for september 3th
in the palace release press, it does not talk about a future operation, Channel 24 is a tabloid and all is not true in the article this paper is publishing

Couldn't the collapse be related to the middle ear? I think this is possibly why she was rushed to the hospital and monitored for a day but is also stable and not in danger. I hope this final procedure is the answer to her health issues.
