The fact she's recently been made VP of the Monaco Ref Cross would seem to undermine any suggestions her marriage is over. Also Albert didn't need an heir as Caroline and her children were his heirs before his marriage.

I read that a sinus lift and bone graft are preparations for dental implants.
I wonder if those implants were for a medical reason or an aesthetic reason.
If it was just for aesthetic reasons it’s very sour it has such big consequences.

I don't think anybody seriously believes the ENT excuse anymore, Albert could be visiting more often but he doesn't, I am sure there is more to it and the Palace doesn't tell the whole story. (..). time will tell if Charlene returns and resumes her position in Monaco.

Being medically versed (I don't have an official degree, but I worked in the medical field) I do believe it. Some ear conditions truly rule out flying and you're stuck where you are. And some take awfully long to heal up to a degree, where you don't risk being deaf or inundated with vertigo for the rest of your life when you board a plane. And no amount of money, not the best physicians or nurses can change the laws of physics. Cabin pressure will change when you fly and that's where the danger is. And, as I wrote earlier, depending on the condition she has going by boat might be an equally bad idea.
best wishes Michiru

I read that she picked up the original infection after a procedure done in Europe.

That is a pathetic excuse that doesn't hold water. Did you see the photos from July 9th on Charlene's Instagram page?
In every single photo Charlene angles her head and neck in a way where someone with such a severe ENT infection that they cannot fly could never do because of the pain it would cause.
Furthermore, as was mentioned Charlene (and Albert) could charter a luxurious yacht and hire medical personnel if needed. Heck, I would walk the continent, take a ferry across the Straight of Gibraltar then either drive or take the train to Monaco. Anything to get back to my children.

Please remain respectful to the people you discuss and refrain from (unfair) speculations. We have seen several statements from Princess Charlene and the Palace and should leave it at that until we get further information. A couple of comments already had to be removed. Thank you for your understanding!

What I don't get is, since they're off from school now, why don't the children spend their summer vacation with Charlene in South Africa? It seems like a very sad situation for the kids.

I glad that HSH The Princess of Monaco is taking her doctor's order seriously. Rather a long separation from her children than a permanent one.

The Covid19 Pandemic (Delta Variant) is running rampant in South Africa and, anybody travelling to and from South Africa will literally be putting themselves at a huge risk. I have 4 family members who are battling Covid19 at the moment. Lets not talking about the riots and protests taking place at the moment. So, Charlene and Albert may have a valid reason for not flying yet.

That baffles me as well.
Surely she could receive excellent medical care in France?
Six months is a long time to be separated from such young children.

She hasn't been separated from them for 6 months - she went to SA in May. They did also make a quick visit to see her.

Hopefully, Albert and the twins can visit soon. This past year I've been separated from some of my family due to Covid travel restrictions and it's been heartbreaking. I can't imagine if it were my young children. Charlene has always appeared to be a loving mom, so she must be distraught.

I'm sure her kids miss, I think she is a good mother. I'm so glad P Albert is spending so much time with them.

I feel for Princess Charlene and having to deal with an infection of the ear. I had one for several years, it not only affected my hearing, balance, but also my eyesight which is now permanently damaged. She has doctors that care. Traveling would be very difficult for her and with Covid so many restrictions. I hope she is able to heal enough to go home to her children when she is well enough. That is my wish for all of them.

For the second time... I believe Princess Charlene's condition has been serious and has required her prolonged stay in South Africa. Post#349

German tv station ARD on tv-text quotes South African Magazine "You":
P.Charlene is spending a couple of hours daily sowing blankets for children living in poor circumstances in the Kwazulu-Natal region (in which it's currently winter).
Via her foundation P.Charlene plans a nationwide food-program for empoverished youths.
I can't find the mentioned magazine on internet, so am quoting the ARD text here, maybe one of you has more info.
Good to hear Charlene is well enough (and in good spirits) to continue her efforts for children in South-Africa, let's hope she's on the mend
