:previous: Her great grandfather Prince Pierre de Polignac was a great patron of writers and the arts(the Prince Pierre Prize for Literature is of course named for him)... but he never had any pretensions of being a great writer himself.

Caroline and her mother Grace are/were enthusiastic supporters of the the Ballets de Monte Carlo which was founded by Princess Grace. And even though Caroline studied under great dancers herself, she never promoted herself as a ballet dancer.

I think it's good that one can associate the Principality with things other than billionaires and the Casino and racing event...there is also ballet, literature and now the study of philosophy.

Totally agree with you. Nobody thinks Charlotte is a philosopher or a refined intellectual, only she tries to promote her interest for this matter. Her uncle Prince Albert is very happy of this event in his country.

Go Charlotte!

I hope she goes back to riding once Balthazar is older.

She and Dimitri are so elegant and beautiful a couple.

I hope to see them together at National Day in November, which will be Dimitri's first as a member of the Princely Family.;)

I think you are misrepresenting her behavieur. She has created in Monaco a sort of Festival of Philosophy where many important philosophers can express their theories and where they receive some awards. Charlotte is a sort of Patron of this event , not a star . She can use her name for calling important names and capture attention. In the past many aristocrats did so during the centuries . Is this a fault ?

Of course not. I think that the Monaco meetings are an interesting and beautiful endeavor.

I'm talking about her book, her appearance in Segovia and her European book tour. She must know the only reason her book has been published and translated is because of her name, not because she has anything to bring to the philosophical debate ot because her views are more interesting than those of any other 3rd year undergraduate. I wonder how she manages not to feel self—conscious.

Wow, Charlotte looks so different with just a fringe - I almost didn't recognise her at first, until I saw Dimitri!

Maybe she does, who knows. Perhaps she gets some prodding from Maggiori, perhaps she recognizes where her place is--to be the face of the festival, to make philosophy a little more accessible precisely because she lends her amateur name to it, or perhaps she is as you say and she thinks she is some hot shot. I wish I can read her book, for sure. I do agree with you, she would be more credible if she has published at least a few philosophical essays.

Though I also personally think it's cool that she is promoting Monaco in her own unique way with something she is passionate about. It expands the Principality's culture portfolio which Prince Albert must be proud of.

Tonight , a t20,20 p.m. Charlotte will be interviewed by Massimo Granellini, an italian journalist and writer for Rai 3 Television.

I just saw the interview with Massimo Gramellini.
Charlotte preferred to express herself in French, although she had no problem
to understand the questions that were addressed to her in Italian, which she understands very well. She also read a poem in French, except the last verses in Italian. Robert Maggiori, on the other hand, has spoken almost always in Italian and very well. Charlotte is thin, maybe more than ever ... she has beautiful skin. I really liked Maggiori.
On Sunday 6 October at 9 pm, at the Parenti theater in Milan, the authors will be the protagonists of an event for the extraordinary reopening of the Milanesiana.

Balthazar looks like a combination of his paternal grandmother and Pierre's kids. Adorable.

I saw in the Segovia event that people had devices for simultaneous translation, so her language on the stage was likely to have been French indeed.

Charlotte is gorgeous. I definitely love the bangs, or "fringe". She seems younger and yes her complexion is perfect.

Balthazar ! Look how he has grown..he is enormous. It's hard to say whom he resembles at this point.
He has the Casiraghi cleft in his little chin but that is Dimitri's mouth all the way and Carole Bouquet's eyes. Yet he also kind of looks like Pierre a bit...he does not resemble Charlotte as strongly as Raphael does but I don't believe he is going to remain fair haired.

I can't wait to see him at National Day. I wonder if he is walking now.

:previous: Raphael looks so big! Time flies. I hope he had a fun first day of school.

Yes, time flies. Raphael will be 6 years old in December? Wow.

Anyway, I am glad to see that Dimitri remains so involved with his stepson, and that there is apparent harmony between all the adults in his life.

And Masha Novoselova (Dimitri's ex wife) is there too, great to see everyone gets along apparently!

:previous: Really? I didn't see Novoselova...I thought Darya was in school in the US...so why would her mother in Paris?

Not sure about that but definitely the blonde woman in this photo is Masha: 2.9.2019 Raphael's first day at school in Paris, France - 1AuOrHttzek - Charlotte Monaco - Photo Gallery

And I'm pretty sure in this one Dimitri is holding Darya: 2.9.2019 Raphael's first day at school in Paris, France - YSYpkMWe97g - Charlotte Monaco - Photo Gallery

Maybe they moved to Paris?

As part of the Monaco Philosophical Meetings, a conference on the theme "Irreversibility and Nostalgia" was held at the Princess Grace Theatre on October 17:
