I don't think Tatiana is a great beauty on the level of the Grimaldi/Casiraghi women-to be fair not many women in Royal Europe are imo. I am also not a fan of her fashion style.
But I do think she is lovely and has some of the most beautiful hair I have ever seen. And unlike many of the people in her circle she seems approachable and genuinely warm. I remember when she accompanied Andrea to the Philippines some years ago on behalf of AMADE. There were photos of her touring a particularly awful slum area and the look on her face as she held a poor woman's infant was a look of genuine distress and empathy. You cannot fake the expression I saw in that picture.
Those are the qualities I look for in a Royal and an average person..a sense that they are genuinely in tune with others, compassion. It can make the homeliest woman appear radiant imo.

I don't think of Tatiana as a royal. I do remember the visit w/Andrea, and I interpreted her shock as that of a neophyte and very sheltered person. And I don't mean that as a criticism. The rest of us on this board are neophytes and most likely, since we all have computers, very sheltered people.
Her actions of creating a business that sells goods from women around the globe that are struggling is admirable.

I don't think of her as a Royal either. But her social circle is certainly an aristocratic/high society/Royal one, and that was the context I was referring to.
She seems like a genuine, humane person. I don't get the same feeling from many of the others in that group.

Actually yes. That's the relevant reference LadyFinn made in one of the posts above.
"From the blog of brazilian Bruno Astuto in Epoca
Andrea and Tatiana are getting married in late August in Monaco and give a party to friends in January in Switzerland. They want the wedding to be a very private one. Sacha will be baptized in September in Monaco.

To me Tatiana looks fine, I don't see anything wrong with her weight. I find ridiculous how thin is always = beautiful, its the mentality people have but for me the inner self is what counts, no matter if the person is thin or not, because I know many great women who have "meat" and they are beautiful that way.
The obsession over weight can be frightening, because most of times it can be unhealthy and so it starts many eating disorders, and that happening to me. But we need to love ourselves for what we are, outside and inside, because we all are unique and diferent in our own ways, thank god I changed my mentality over this subject.
I'm sorry if I carried away with this...

I saw that pic as well and agree with you. However, I don't like her fashion style. It seems very boho-hippie to me, totally out-of-tune with a royal. More in line with progressive/rebels/socialists.

Argie, I agree that Tatiana dresses like a boho/hippie, but a socialist? Pierre's extremely elegant and well dressed aristocrat girlfriend Beatrice has at least once openly declared herself a Communist!
I don't think people with extreme leftist social positions necessarily dress a certain way. And lord knows there are some very badly dressed Royals.....

I think that your fashion style does, in fact, reflect your political views. At least at this level.
Ewww, never knew that Beatrice has declared herself a communist. More reason for me to dislike her. How the shoot can Pierre date her?

Actually, Beatrice always declared to have center-left views (just to be clear: voting right-wing, in Italy, means voting for Berlusconi, a guy just convicted for underage prostitution). She clarified in many interviews that she was never a communist nor she said she was: the Italian press - particularly those newspapers owed by Berlusconi's family - call her "the communist princess" simply to discredit her. It's an easy joke to make, but it's false.

I have never seen Tatiana in anything but a tent like dress so cannot comment on her weight. However, IMO, she does look very unkempt. One can dress like that and still have an elegant look .... she doesn't. She looks like she gets up in the morning and "throws" on the tent and that is it. I am NOT suggesting that she spend hours before a mirror OR working out ... just taking the time to look a little more put together. Also this "look" does not age well AT.ALL.

Tatiana has a similar body type to her cousins Bettina and Carolina, plus she seems not to very keen on exercise...Taking care of your body is not shallow though I agree that too much pressure is unhealthy and unfair to women.
