Wow, the pics are excellent. A BIG thank you to Anne for posting them.
Indeed, Mette Marit looks glowing, a little tired though--which is understandable. But, after a baby is a few weeks old, parents are able to get more sleep. Her shape, what can I say, except, I hope I look like that one week after my baby is born.
Ingrid looks cute as ever, a proud older sister, so does Marius.
All in all, wonderful photos of a wonderful family.

Thanks for the pictures, Norwegianne! What a lovely family! And Sverre is such a cute baby. It's great to see Ingrid-Alexandra again, too! She's such a sweet toddler...

Thank you so much Norwegianne for the photos. :) I just love seeing family photos. I can't believe how much Ingrid has grown up. When she was younger I thought she looked like Haakon, but now she's looking more like Mette Marit (IMO). Sverre is just precious. Aww. Marius is a cutie as well. Mette Marit and Haakon both look so proud. I wish them all well.

Cute little baby :)
I think he has Mette's eyes, while the girl has Dad's eyes.

Most Norwegian are calm people and dont get all fussed up about such a decision (unlike some board posters from other countries it seems). He is a Prince, his sister is a Princess, not much difference at the time, the royals are *almost* never reffered to as HRH and HM in Norway its King Harald or just the King, Princess Ingird Alexandra or even only Ingrid. Maybe in 18 years or so we will see what happens but util them I think both children will do a few royal duties on major days, then they will focus on educaton and military service and who know maybe we are not even a monarchy then, one cant predict so far into the future.
I personally do not think King Haakon will elevate him unless something unfortunat happens to his sister or she cant have children
However if you want to read and intresting summary of the few comments in Norwegian media Dag T. Hoelseth on the SRMB, has made and interesting summary, I will only leave the link

He has done a very good job IMO and well worth a read.

:p I could be one of those fuzzy posters too! I'm not familiar with Norway's Royal Family and the protocol. In Spain, when the king and queen are mentioned in the papers they often use a third person plural to refer to both at the same time. Instead of saying the king and the queen this-or-that they are referred as Los Reyes (means the Kings, giving the consort the same status) or as Sus Majestades (Their Majesties). When the press article is about one of them, he or she are referred as Su Majestad (His/Her Majesty) rather than simply writing the name. Same applies when referring to religious leaders such as the Pope. For example, if he is mentioned in an article as the Pope you could see a second mention using the adjective Su Santidad (His Holiness).
Sorry for the fuzzyness, we are a little stuck up with formalities!

Lovely pictures of the young family. I actually thought that Mette-Marit looked very good, radiant even. Like with Letizia, she looks better WITH the extra pregnancy weight.

But in Norway the HM or the HRH is almost never used, except for on formal occasions, and some other times. The King is referred to in the papers as Kongen (the King), the Queen as Dronningen, if they are referred to together it is as Kongeparet (the Kingly couple)... the same goes for the rest.

I don't know if they are nursing, but for some woman the hormone the body produces whilst nursing causes them to practically glow, have good skin and be more feminine! It looks like MM is enjoying her motherhood in all ways!

I think Prince Sverre needs a surname since he's not titled as HRH..what will happen to his future children??..What surname would they use?..and I agree with someone here commented that the Norwegianne monarchy becomes less and less royal..dont want to elaborate anymore, dont mean to offend..just my opinion..

Norwegianne,
Thank you for the pics of litle Sverre and Family.
I still find very hard to pronounce his name but he sure is a bundle of joy and a very sweet baby.
Family Pictures are just great. They all seem very peaceful and happy.
And Mette has that look of hapiness, fulfillement... oh, you know, the glowing look!
And it is nice to see Ingrid dressed in blue :).
Regards,
mtbcm :)

The baby is really a cutie. I wish the family lots of good health and happiness--who cares about titles? The baby is happy, his parents love him and he is just too cute.
