Article from Adresseavisen with quotes translated by me:
Feiret reformasjonsjubileet med hellig dans i Domen -adressa.no
The Norwegian Church celebrated the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther's 95 Theses on the sale of indulgences, with hymns, music, dance, communion and prayer for unity.

The magnificent festive service in Trondheim was the highlight of this year's reformation anniversary. Among the guests in Nidarosdomen, were King Harald, the Crown Prince couple, the President of the Storting Olemic Thomessen, 1st Vice President Eva Kristin Hansen and Minister of Culture Linda Cathrine Hofstad Helleland.

A large number of county councilors, county-Mayors and Mayors were also present along with the Preses (head) of the Norwegian Church, the other eleven bishops and the Church Council's leader and director.

Another article about yesterday's royal visit to Trondheim - with quotes translated by me:
Kongen overnattet i Stiftsgården etter reformasjonsjubileet -adressa.no
King Harald spent the night at Stiftsgården in Trondheim after the national service in Nidarosdomen on Tuesday evening which marked the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

That is confirmed by Assistant Communications Manager Sven Gj. Gjeruldsen (at the Royal Court) to Adresseavisen.

A visible sign that the King spent the night there, is that the guards was standing outside Stiftsgården and that the flag was up.

The King attended the televised 500th anniversary service together with the Crown Prince couple. Queen Sonja should also have attended, but had to cancel due to back pain.

After the service, which ended just before 21:00, the Crown Prince couple headed directly to Værnes Airport, while the King attended a reception for invited guests in the Archbishop's Palace after the service.

The King has no program in Trondheim on Wednesday and left the city on Wednesday morning.
More about Stiftsgården:

Built for the wealthy Cecilie Christine Schøller between 1774 and 1778 (sold to the state in 1800), is one of the Nordic region's largest wooden buildings, and permanent royal residence when the royals stays in Trondheim.

During the 1000th anniversary of Tronheim in 1997, the King and Queen celebrated their 60th birthdays at Stiftsgården with a large number of foreign royal guests.

Norway Today article:
http://norwaytoday.info/news/christmas-get-together-palaces-art-gallery/
The Royal family invited the Church Mission, Salvation Army, Blåkors and =Oslo to a before Christmas gathering at the Palace’s art gallery, Tuesday.

King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit were all present at the gathering at Queen Sonja Art Gallery, behind the Palace in Oslo.

The art gallery was opened during Queen Sonja’s 80th birthday celebrations in June, as a gift from the king. It is the queen herself who manages the art gallery.

See my post 446 above for pictures of the event - a lady was a bit unlucky when she was to curtsy to the King and the Queen got a hug.

The Royal Family attends Holmenkollen Ski Festival (FIS World Cup Nordic competitions), 10 - 11 March:

NRK1 will send winter-sports from Holmenkollen and other places in Norway from 09:00 to 19:00 on both days.

From me: King Haakon VII and Queen Maud started the tradition of the Royal Family's presence at Holmenkollen in 1906. Since then, they have been present - with the exception of the war years 1940-1945 and in 2009 when Holmenkollen was under renovation and replacing races were held in Trondheim for cross-country skiing and biathlon, and in Vikersund for ski jumping and nordic combined.
Read more about Holmenkollen Ski Festival here: Holmenkollen Ski Festival

The royals will (during the Ski Festival) stay at Kongsseteren (The Royal Lodge). - It is situated on the nearby Voksenkollen.

I will post articles/videos (if there are any) and photos later today - if not other posters does it before me.

Edit: The King is already there (saw him on NRK1 now).

Princess Astrid was also present today (no proper photo of her yet).

The thing I forgot to mention in my above post about the history of the royal family's attendance at Holmenkollen, is the fact that Norwegians goes absolutely crazy during these two days - many are sleeping out in tent and stuff (especially to see the 50 km race for men and the 30 km race for women in Cross-country skiing - the biggest sport in Norway).

NRK and VG reports that 7 persons are injured after fights and chaos at Holmenkollen today:

I am really pleased that Princess Astrid's decades of service to Norway keeps on being honored.

The dailymail picked it ;)
Yes, I was just waiting for it. ?

Agree! And when you have been standing on the podium for more than 70 years (the last 20 of them battling Parkinson's disease and other ailments), then you really deserve a medal.

--------------------

Her name has not been added to the English wikipedia page (in my previous post) yet - but it's been added to the Norwegian page: Holmenkollmedaljen

Here is the explanation from Skiforeningen (Association for the Promotion of Skiing) - translated by me:
Holmenkollmedaljen 2018 - Skiforeningen
The Holmenkollen medal is also (in exceptional cases) awarded to people who in other ways have been important representatives in promotion of skiing.

"In a very faithful and impressive manner, Princess Astrid, Mrs. Ferner has represented the royal family in Holmenkollen for a number of years. The Princess's commitment clearly shows that our national sport ties the whole people together, and Skiforeningen wishes to make this visible by giving her the Holmenkollen Medal," says Erik Eide (Secretary General of Skiforeningen).

The Queen attended the official opening of the exhibition "Killi-Olsen: sculptures" in the Queen Sonja Art Stable today, March 13. The Crown Princess was also in attendance.

Princess Beatrix is joining her friends again this year!

:previous: Where do you have that information from? And I don't fully understand your post - is it a question or is it something you've heard?

If it was a question: No, she was not attending the Holmenkollen Ski Festival events on Saturday and Sunday (10 - 11 March).

If it's something you've heard: The King and Princess Astrid will attend the Biathlon World Cup in Holmenkollen on Saturday and Sunday (17 - 18 March) - but I have not seen/heard anything about that Princess Beatrix will attend.

Has she attended before? Yes, she attended the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 2014 as the King and Queen's guest.

Thanks for correcting my mistake. I saw her on a picture that showed with some of the other pictures - but it indeed seems to be a picture from 2014.

:previous: Yes, it must have been a picture from 2014. ?
