I would guess she is going to see the Norwegian designers who work from London who is part of the 100%Norway2006 design and architecture exhibition she is opening tomorrow, atleast I hope that is what she is doing and that she is not going to see brittish design and put it on the official calendar Kristian Aadnevik who is part of the exhibiton shows his collection tomorrow at 12.30

What is more interesting is that Haakon seems to finally ackowledge that he is infact also a farmer, and one of the biggest farmers in Asker, a suit and tie farmer that is going to be King, but a farmer none the less. This week he has several events related to agriculture and ecological farming. A bit overdue IMO, he never seems to have taken any interest what so ever in that before and there are many farmers that struggle in Norway. He will eb quite busy this week with 6 events.

Probably the best chance if you want to see her, is tomorrow at the exhibition at Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane http://www.norway.org.uk/100percent/100percent.htm
Im sure if you call the embassy they can tell you when the opening is

She looks lovely but she should let go of the dark socks/nylons or at the very least go for sheerer ones.

i think mette marit is looking great lately. although the clothes are not "dazzling", they give a professional and modern look that is perfect for a princess and shows a lot of 'down to earth-ness'.
is there any video of the speech she gave for 100% norway 2006? thanks in advance!

You can do like me and dream that she will learn something from her fashion-oriented sponsorships.

I wonder if Mette-Marit might attend this conference in Oslo, since she is patron for a mental health organization. http://www.worldconference2006.no/xp...ome/index.html

Just wondering if she's avoiding the American press and why.

She went to the United States early in her marriage. If you look at Getty Images, there are photos of her meeting Jimmy Carter. She's going to Germany in a few weeks, so perhaps her and Haakon scheduled their trips so that one parent would be home during these few weeks. It seems that both Haakon and Mette-Marit make at least a few solo trips during the year, along with foreign tours together. This year for example, Mette-Marit went to Switzerland on her own for UNAIDS, Haakon went to Guatemala, I think for UNDP, they both went to Canada for the AIDS conference and both will be going to India this year. Last year Mette-Marit went to Malawi on her own, Haakon went to the USA and they went to Poland together.

Avoiding the american press? Its not like the american press would write anything wether she comes or not. They wrote close to nothing about her 4 day visit to Washington in 2002, she was mostly followed by Norwegian press. Haakon is going to the UN I would guess in his role as UNDP ambassador, that is his thing, and when he is there he attends the anniversary of the sailor church as well. They are not joint at the hip. Haakon did not go with her to London last month, nor will he go with her to Germany where there really is a nasty/adoring press to avoid if she was so inclined.

NRK has an article and pic from the Munch and Manning exhibition, it says that Mette-Marit visited Manning in his studio when he was working on the exhibition

VG has 15 more pictures, it looks like they were sitting in the middle of the Stabæk fans because they seems to be the only ones cheering and desparing at times
