Well, we have finally got our relationship with China back on track (yes, they got angry with us after Liu Xiaobo was awarded The Nobel Peace Prize of 2010). And The Prime Minister cosies up to them like no-one before her, which is actually starting to make us look ridiculous. Because, as politicians/commentators from both sides of the political spectrum here have said/written, we're not dependent on China buying our salmon!

People on social media have been pretty critical of how journalists have literally hunted down this elderly man to ask him about Märtha. Yes, on Tuesday, an NRK-reporter was just a meter away from HM when the latter was about to get into his state-car, A2.
But despite all of this (which must be difficult for him), our utterly amazing monarch is just getting on with it.

About The Abel Prize: Established by the Norwegian government in 2002 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of mathematician Niels Henrik Abel's birth (read about him in the two below English links). The Prize, which has been handed out every year since 2003, recognises contributions to the field of mathematics that are of extraordinary depth and influence - and carries a cash award of 6 million NOK.
More information here: 1 - 2.

This year's laureate: Karen Keskulla Uhlenbeck (English link).
''For her pioneering achievements in geometric partial differential equations, gauge theory and integrable systems, and for the fundamental impact of her work on analysis, geometry and mathematical physics.''

And yet, the shaman said in the interview on television that he had already met the King and Queen ... This guy is full of lies (the shaman .. not the King ..).
The King spoke to the media on May 14th, while the shaman guy and Märtha said on May 16th that he had met them the day before (on the 15th), so he was actually speaking the truth here. ??

HM is looking great, almost 82-years-young.
And although it can't be easy for her with all this craziness going on, she's still out doing her duty!

About Bergen International Festival: Annual international music and cultural festival in Bergen (Norway's second-most populated city and municipality) that started in 1953, and which is the largest one in its genre within the Nordic countries.

King Harald was scheduled to visit an off shore oil-rig Tuesday. But that has been cancelled, ostensibly due to the death of Ari Behn.

The court has declined to comment further.

- I guess he is focusing on looking after his three granddaughters as well as his daughter.
Now that it's back to normal so to speak, I think a delayed reaction is setting in in earnest now.

I guess there will be a period of unofficial Court mourning, where we will not be seeing much of the NRF for a few weeks or days?

If everyone is clearing their calenders to concentrate on the children i think that is great.

I hate to be maudlin but i cannot stop feeling awful for them. I lost my own father years ago during the Christmas season and i was a zombie for weeks.

But i was an adult. And my Dad didn't commit suicide.:ermm:
