On the European Royal messageboard usually very well informed Dag T Hoelseth says that probably Haakon and Mette-Marit will attend the diamond jubilee in Thailand in June, it is however not officially confirmed that they will go

The Crown Princely couple abused in Italian election campaign newspaper
I found an article in www.dagbladet.no about how the Crown Princely couple (and the rest of the royal family) has been abused in an Italian politcal party's newspaper.
I have translated the article in a whole, but only post the relevant parts (the article talks on about a lot of political stuff from Italy).
Racist party abused the royal family
“Did not know who they were,” says the Italian party Lega Nord.
“No to Pacs, yes to the family,” it says on page 7 in the March edition of the Lega Nords election campaign newspaper. The article is illustrated by a photo of the Norwegian royal family.
Lega Nord is mostly known for its controversial comments on immigration, and has several times been accused of obvious racism. They are now campaigning to be re-elected into Silvio Berlusconis coalition government.
The Norwegian court strongly dislikes that the royal family has been used in such a context. “It is not been asked for permission to use this photo. It is not given permission to use royals in commercials,” says information advisor Sven Gj. Gjeruldsen at the Palace to Dagbladet.no.
Apologises strongly
Gjeruldsen says that they don’t see this use of photos often. “It occurs, but relatively seldom,” he says.
The article in the campaign newspaper argues strongly against gay marriages, and claims that illegal immigration is a great threat to the Italian society. The Royal family is presented as an ideal family.
At the party office in Milan they can’t explain the photo howler. “In which country, you say? Norway? Oh my god. This is amazing,” says Mikela Caligari to Dagbladet.no
After a short check-up with the editor of the newspaper it comes out that the photo of the royal family hasn’t been used intentionally. “This was really not the intention, and I want to apologise strongly. We had no clue who it was,” she says.
[...] Pacs – a sort of paperless marriage contract for both gay and straight – where the partners are given various rights such as inheritance and the right to be present at the hospital if one of them gets ill.

Haakon at the Bergen International Festival '06
Norway is on the verge of a big strike in the state sector, if it becomes strike today most of the police in Bergen will be taken out in strike and Haakon will have to manage without the police escorte when he comes to Bergen today to open the International festival, ofcourse he will still have his body guards but not the police on motorcycles who usually accompany royal cars
http://www.bt.no/na24/article271037.ece
Further the musicians in Bergen Philarmonic - Harmonien, who was going to play during the opening is also on a strike today and will probably not perform. The leader of the International festival Per Boye Hansen says he has other musician ready to step in. The leader of Harmonien is not amused with this solution and wonders if the International festival would like to have musicians in the future

9.30 The Crown Princess is present for opening of national conference on sexual abuse and incest - Kristiansand

The Crown Prince opened the conference on higher education accompanied by Minister Erik Solheim at Voksenkollen in Oslo this morning
 scanpix/VG
His wife is in her hometown, she arrived together with her advisor Vibeke Holekim, in her opening speech at the national conference on sexual abuse and incest, she said among other things that that incest and sexual abuse should never be silenced.
We must not accpet that it is random who gets help or not after sexual offences.
-Its a joint responsibility for the society to work to prevent sexual abuse and incest. A responsibility we can show trough strong values and highlight how the abuse never is the fault of the exposed. We must teach our children that one should never be silent if someone has done something hurtful to them.
She also said it is important to choose ones words carefully when talking about it, she urged to use the term incest exposed instead of incest victim. It is a linguistic nuance that makes a big differnece. To recreate your life despite of what is broken, takes enormous strength and will power.
- Who manages to create a new life for themselves after a painful lifeexperience can seem random, it depends if you get the help to prosesse what happened. We cannot accpet that it is so random. I have seen many examples of it in my work with mental health questions. Anxiety, isolation, substance abuse and depression is some consequenses.
- Something of the most important that has happened since the first support center opened in Oslo in 1986, is that incest is taken out in the light from the shameful and dark corner. The hurtful and unmentionable has gotten a face and can be fought, processed, prevented and banished
(I find translating speeches difficult so its not a very good translation)

Also it seems the royal web has put the worng date for the meeting and lunch with the President of Indonesia, as it is today and not tomorrow. Wonder where the King is since it is usually he who does theese events.

I think this is a great event for Mette-Marit to attend. I'd love to see her take up sexual abuse prevention as a cause. Have any other royals taken it up as a cause? I also love the suit she wore, very professional and nice looking, without being flashy and taking attention away from the event she is attending.

Mette-Marit looks very elegant and I applaud her covering sexual abuse and incest as well as AIDS. The picture of Mette-Marit and the children is precious, it appears that children adore her.

According to Se og Hor, the annual reports of the Norwegian Royal Family show that Crown Princely couple spent 220 000 kroners(~32,000 USD) on phone calls this year, almost double the amount of last year.

It was not just their phones its is also the phonebills of their staff. This is old news as the royal finance report is not yet out. But the royals has gotten more money in the proposed national budget for 2007 put forward by the goverment last week.
Most of it is going to the renovation of one of the royal buildings (Oscarshall??) but Haakon and Mette-Marit as well as the King and Queen has gotten more for their budgets as well.
Every year their is a national collection of money that is supported by the National Broadcaster, usually one of the younger royals is the protector of the collection, this year the money goes to Doctors without Borders and Haakon is the protector, here he is at a launch event at the "building in progress soon to be finnished" Opera, fotos from Scanpix
Today he will be in New York and the UN and Mette-Marit will be at an event for the world mental health day in Oslo

Thanks for the info. I was somewhat bewildered as to when the report would be out and new fiscal year would begin. I wonder why they had it on their fron page if it was "old news". Thanks again
