Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, as former student of the UWC, attended the scholarship ceremony and the 50th
anniversary of the United World Colleges (UWC) in Den Haag today, June 4, 2012.

This year 25 students received the scholarships. UWC (United World Colleges) is an education movement comprising
twelve international schools and colleges, national committees in over 130 countries and a series of short educational
programmes. The UWC movement believes in education as a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and
a sustainable future.

Yesterday, June 6, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has made a working visit to The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee,
a police organisation with military status.

Today, June 7, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander attended the opening of the first geothermal station that supplies heat
for households in Den Haag. The station pumps water up which will be used for heating 4000 homes in the area.

As a second event today, Willem-Alexander was present at the opening of the uranium enrichment station Urenco in Almelo.

it made me sad to see WA at the URENCO plant. he obviously had his brother friso in mind, who was one of its directors, and he looked slightly sad to be there instead of him.

Today, June 8, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander attended the opening of the 10th edition of "Mission Olympic:
The School Final" in the Olympic Stadium of Amsterdam. Mission Olympic is a school sports competition among
315 secondary schools in the Netherlands.

HRH The Prince of Orange will attend and take the Salute on Dutch Veterans Day,saturday june 30th at the Binnenhof,The Hague.

HRH Princess Margriet will speech in the Hall of Knights this day as the Dutch Merchant Fleet,one of her Godparents while in Canada during wartime,is highlighted this year.

Dutch Veterans Day is a tribute to over 100.000 Dutch Veterans from WWII till the recent missions in Afghanistan.

Today, June 19, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has met South Korean Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik
for a meeting at his office in Seoul.

On July 3rd, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has made a working visit to the Admiralty Board of the Royal Navy in Den Helder.
The Admiralty Board is the weekly management meeting of the Commander Naval Forces.

Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has attended the reception for Dutch austronaut André Kuipers in Noordwijk today, August 30, 2012.

Kuipers stayed 193 days at the International Space Station and returned on July 1. It was the longest space journey that a European astronaut has ever made.

And this evening, Willem-Alexander has attended the musical "Soldier of Orange" in Valkenburg.

The musical is performed by soldiers who were injured during their service in the army and it's based on the story of Dutch resistance fighter Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema.

Today, September 1, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander attended the 25th national commemoration for the Dutch soldiers who fell during the war in the former Dutch East Indies and New Guinea between 1945 and 1962. The ceremony took place in Roermond at the national monument.
