Crown Prince Willem-Alexander attended the official opening of the Pharma filter at the
Reinier de Graaf Hospital in Delft today, April 11, 2012.

Yesterday I had a great day. I had a day off and went to Barendrecht to see the prince of Orange. Barendrecht is a place 15 minutes away from my home.

The prince was in a very good mood, very friendly. I got a handshake of the prince!

He's a good looking man in photos - what's he like in person? He seems very at ease and natural. You mention his good mood - can he sometimes be more formal - offish maybe? AND - what's his handshake like? Firm? Just wondering.....
 
I'm with you, Tyger. I think he's the most handsome of the Crown Princes.
 
The Prince was on a working visit to the Bernhard Baracks and the Manouvre Training & Command Controle & Support Centre,Amersfoort today as well as the Operational tranings center...busy

Later today HRH will attend the 13th Hofstad Lecture at the Nieuwe Kerk,The Hague.

Something selfmade & homemade by his three young Ladies and a big hug and something funny by his wonderfull spouse!:flowers:

The three Princesses are known for their ability to safe money for causes they think worthwhile,and that includes themselves...grin...to take some of that money for anything else then intended is not much to their liking so they make something themselves.That is priceless!:)
 
HRH The Prince of Orange,Honorary Chair of the Foundation,handed out the prestigious King Willem I Award for Entrepeneurs at the Floriade,Venlo.
 
Is there any indication on the Dutch calendar that he will be in Stockholm next week for Estelle's christening since there is a lot of speculation he will be named as a godfather?

Yesterday May 16, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has made a working visit to the National Police Agency
at the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.

Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has been present at the opening of the Blue Flag season 2012 at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk aan Zee today, May 25, 2012.

The blue flag is the official recognition for beaches and marinas with good water quality, safety standards and the like.

The Prince of Orange will visit the World Expo 2012 at Yeosu,South Korea on june 18th.

Rio aan de Maas provides an interactive day programme for people who promote sustainability in their neighbourhood,
community or business.

Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, as former student of the UWC, attended the scholarship ceremony and the 50th
anniversary of the United World Colleges (UWC) in Den Haag today, June 4, 2012.

This year 25 students received the scholarships. UWC (United World Colleges) is an education movement comprising
twelve international schools and colleges, national committees in over 130 countries and a series of short educational
programmes. The UWC movement believes in education as a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and
a sustainable future.

Yesterday, June 6, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has made a working visit to The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee,
a police organisation with military status.

Today, June 7, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander attended the opening of the first geothermal station that supplies heat
for households in Den Haag. The station pumps water up which will be used for heating 4000 homes in the area.

As a second event today, Willem-Alexander was present at the opening of the uranium enrichment station Urenco in Almelo.

it made me sad to see WA at the URENCO plant. he obviously had his brother friso in mind, who was one of its directors, and he looked slightly sad to be there instead of him.

Today, June 8, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander attended the opening of the 10th edition of "Mission Olympic:
The School Final" in the Olympic Stadium of Amsterdam. Mission Olympic is a school sports competition among
315 secondary schools in the Netherlands.

HRH The Prince of Orange will attend and take the Salute on Dutch Veterans Day,saturday june 30th at the Binnenhof,The Hague.

HRH Princess Margriet will speech in the Hall of Knights this day as the Dutch Merchant Fleet,one of her Godparents while in Canada during wartime,is highlighted this year.

Dutch Veterans Day is a tribute to over 100.000 Dutch Veterans from WWII till the recent missions in Afghanistan.
