My guess is that they don't need two estates in Italy because they're too busy to go to either very often.

I believe they are putting the estate up for sale because this was Prince Bernhard's wish before he died. The money from the sale of the property is to be divided equally among his six daughters.

Yes, that's right. Prince Bernhard thought that it would be easier to divide the estate he left if there was mostly money, which makes sense to me. But of course the house might have some personal attachments to the royals, as they surely have a lot of good memories from it.

Willem looks more and more like a kind and caring man. He will make a great king.

I agree with you, too, and that has made me wonder how involved Claus was with his boys during their formative years. Does anyone know about that relationship? I did not follow Claus at all and it seemed that when I did read about him he was having health concerns. But he and Beatrix seem to have raised three fine boys.

Any news on when Maxima will start doing royal duties again? How long did she take off after Amalia was born?

Thumbs up

Maybe she will attend her mother inlaw at the feast in Apeldoorn ( i live there!!) next saturday the 13th of august . Queen beatrix will accept a window for in the church ( grote kerk). Before that happens she will get a painting ( vivat orange) in Paleis het loo, that will be hung at the palace ( that palace is a museum). The royal internet page suggest that a lot of the royal family is coming.:p :p My twinsister and i wil also go there to watch and make pictures with oure digital camera,s

This is the first time I see and hear she speak on TV...she seems to be a smart/intelegent woman, she speaks with full "expression" and know well what she want to say.
I don't understand Dutch language, how is her dutch? it is good enough and how about her accent?
