I wish her luck and she should be more careful not to stress herself because her expected month of delivery is already near.

i think it's wonderful how maxima dealed with the pregnancy. not only she attended to nearly all (cancelling 4 or 5 at the most) her royal duties in the netherlands but also she went to many places abroad as kenia and uganda, poland and japan...
i think it's now sensible that she has a rest.

She does look uncomfortable (which is to be expected), but she just doesn't look well either. I'm sure shes exhausted at this point, and thats a lot of what I'm seeing...at any rate, I wish her a speedy and healthy (rest of her) pregnancy!

From BRMB:
-------------------
* Communiqué van de Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst
On behalf of His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange and Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima, the Dutch Royal Information Service announces:
Recent publications in the weekly Privé have forced the Prince and Princess to undertake juridical steps against the publisher and the editor-in-chief of this mag.According to this weeks' edition of the mag the Princely Couple was employing 3 nannies
- 1 of them was to have been sacked recently, after having been hit by the princess.
The truth is that, since November 2004, the Couple has 1 nanny and it is not right that she has been hit.
This unjust publication is a breach of privacy on behalf of the Princely Couple, as well as it affects the Princess' good reputation
As soon as is known which measures will be taken, it will be made known by the Royal Information Service.

I don't think Maxima gives interviews too often. Did she say anything interesting?

The interview in a nutshell, from BRMB, posted by joris
-----------------------------
The interview is within the context of he work for the Commission PaVEM (Participation of women from ethnic minorities) the princess is member of.The focus is on the importance of mastering the Dutch language in order to participate in Dutch society.
Máxima makes a passionate impression according to the interviewer (Jan-Kees Emmer).
At the ministry where the interview takes place she serves coffee herself. Also other commission member Paul Rosenmöller takes part in the conversation.
Princess and Rosenmöller explain what the commission has achieved so far after two years.
M: 'it's not us who make the difference, but all those women who want to share'
'two years is of course not such a long period to have impact in all fields. So we rather quickly decided to focus on a couple of issues: language, work and social dialogue. Together with Paul Rosenmöller I started focusing on this language issue, for in my case this was the most obvious.'
(On learning Dutch)
'That wasn't always easy. There were moments that I thought that I never would learn it. At first I felt very insecure also. You join the laughter a bit when jokes are made which you actually do not understand. You follow conversations but only half. Altogether not easy and you suddenly have this feeling to be an outsider.'
'I still make a little mistake now and then but I laugh at it.'
Rosenmöller: 'Despite the differences in background the princess had always this 'click' with women who had problems acquiring the language.'
M: 'Together we laughed so much sometimes about the unpronounceable sounds which Dutch knows. For instance I used to say 'joef' [yoof] instead of 'juf' [jöf]. Also the 'w' is very difficult [for a Spanish speaking person]. I once talked about 'verven' [to paint] of volunteers, when I really meant 'werven' [to recrute]'
It's difficult to have all the many women learn Dutch (240,000 women)
M: 'but we have the idea that it will be succesful' 'f.i. by teaching language at home. For women who are not allowed to leave their home told so by their husband or who simply do not dare. They are visited by a growing number if volunteers'.
'Customising' and 'dual project' are words the princess uses with ease.
M: 'Customising is obvious and by dual project we mean that language is learned in combination with a professional education or some other concrete activity. So if the woman has young children she will be taught first how to be assertive at e.g. a health centre.'
The princess stresses that it is 'a DO commission' (not just a commission for a commission's sake) 'Is this Dutch?'
'I must say it gets more and more difficult to concentrate. The baby is going to play a bigger role.'

Thank you The Watcher for finding an English summary.
From what I read every now and then, the Netherlands, like many countries, is having "growing pains" (for lack of a better word) as it becomes more & more a multicultural society. It is nice to see the Princess using her own experiences as an immigrant, to try to help others adapting to life in a new country.

I really like the coat, and the rest of the outfit in white keeps it Summer-y.
Question: is it really that cold in Holland that people are wearing pants and coats?
Or is she trying to keep her bump covered?
Just asking - I really like the outfit (esp the coat), just wondering why a coat and pants in June, and not a dress?

Does anyone know what the event was? It looks like WA and Maxima having dinner with friends at a restaurant on the beach?
