HM added the Cravatte of Distinction to the banner of the Royal Dutch Airforce for their services in Kosovo 1999 at the Royal Military Academy,Breda this afternoon.

In Serbia this is scandal.

A clip of HM and the performences at Carre from the NOS news:

Carré viert alsnog 125-jarig jubileum - NOS Nieuws

HM seems to be wearing her turqoises.

The event was supposed to happen earlier. But at the day of theoriginal celebration, one of the actors (Jeroen Willems) died from a heart attack during the rehearsal. So the show was cancelled for that evening and postponed.

Very Impressive!!Huge crowds and ditto lines waiting now..b ut worthwhile, very much so..The museum is open till midnight...
Everybody will have to come back time and time again to find all again as it changed so much,in the positive that is..

Till yesterday over 75.000 tickets had been sold already on-line,mostly tour operators and hotels, and many from the US and GB.:flowers:

Her Majesty looked to be both very happy and then sad in some of those PPE photo's.

The Volkskrant published some information about the book "Beatrix, dwars door alle weerstand heen".

The book claims that HM was furious about the interview her father gave to the Volkskrant (which was published after his death). She called it high treason and wondered "which man did we burry?". About the journalist she is supposed to have said: he abused his friendship for journalistic purposes.

The author (Jutta Chorus) seems to have some good sources for this book. Among them Pim Waldeck, former grandmaster of the court.

It was...a bit sad really, but OK,we'll get used to it eventually.

At present Pim Waldeck is HM Ambassador to the Court of St.James.

And,a most beautifull album of pictures of HM Queen Beatrix, gathered by Hans Jacobs of Royalblog and many Dutch photographers

I wonder if there were larger crowds than normal to greet the Queen at the Grote church given that this was final public act prior to her Abdication next week.

Oh but thousands of people gathered outside the church yes, certainly more then otherwise would be the case, especially as The Hague is used to Royal appearances throughout the year, this last one was special.:)
