Her Majesty The Queen and HRH Princess Máxima hosted the dinner for the Members of Organisations of International Law Courts,Tribunals and other International organisations based in The Hague,wednesday september 17th.

The dinner is held once every 3 years.Present were,ao,Representatives of the International Court of Justice,the Iran-US Claims Tribunal,the International Justice Tribunal for former Yugoslavia,the Permanent Court of Arbitrage,the Special Court for Sierra Leone,the Special Court for The Lebanon,and Organisations for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons/Warfare.

Today Her Majesty,and Princess Margriet,will receive the Paralympic medalists at Noordeinde Palace.

HM will also perform the start of the 25th Palace-Run at Het Loo Palace,Apeldoorn today.

Originated as an initiative of the Royal House and Diplomatic Safety Agency as a proof of their bond with the RF,it now is a full grown sport event with 43 teams from several countries participating,each team consisting of 7 and they'll have to run 70 km.

The children stamps foundation celebrates its 60th anniversary,the proceeds go to all kinds of projects aimed at development of children,
both domestic and abroad.

According to royalblog.nl Queen Beatrix told the 1 children from the Prince Willem-Alexander school from Waarder about her own experiences in getting bullied. HM said she often was teased a lot at school because she was a princess and because she didn't share the same war-experiences as the other children.

HM,accompanied by TRH Princess Máxima,Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien and four grand children,visited the CODA Museum,Apeldoorn,incognito today.No,no pictures,wasn't anyone with a camera around.The party must have enjoyed their outing,buying tickets like everyone else,visiting this wonderfull museum and its current exhibition;" The discovery of The Netherlands,Four Centuries of Landscapes by Dutch Masters" interested in Art as they are while HM is an established artist herself.

According to Marc van der Linden on www.royalty-online.nl HM has a new parrot. The previous one died last year. She got that parrot from her late husband, prince Claus. Her son, the Prince of Orange felt sorry for his mother and she could buy a new one on his costs. HM went to an animal store and bought a one simular to the one Claus gave her, which would be this one (they can speak):

The towns of Breskens,Cadzand-Bad,Groede and Sluis have the honour.

HM will hand-out the Royal Prize for Free Painters,initiated by HM King Willem III in 1871 to stimulate young talent,at the GEM Museum,
The Hague,today.

The tradition was maintained by Queens Emma,Wilhelmina,Juliana and now Beatrix,an established artist herself.

Every young (under the age of 35) artist can opt to compete for the Royal Prize,205 did for this years Prize,89 of them were requested
to make two works,4 artists were finally choosen and will receive the Prize,(and the money,6000 euro's) from the hands of HM.

HM bestowed the Honorary-Medal for Art and Sciences in the House Order of Orange-Nassau to mr.Peter Struycken,for services rendered to Her Majesty and Her House.

Mr.Struycken is,ao,the designer of the famous dot stamps depicting her Majesty,causing an outcry at the time as being too modern,but always admired by Her Majesty herself.Peter Struycken is a multi-talented artist in many fields and has a close relationship with the Royal House.
