Do you thin there is something wrong with Queen B's ears, maybe that is the cause for her hairstyle? Some call her scary looking...I do not see her as scary but she is a bit different looking. The hairstyle is it I think...and compared to the other European Queens she is rather large.

Photos of Beatrix at the Spanish Royal Wedding we can find at Getty Images. But i didn't see her photos at the church.Someone from Glittering Royal Events message board has told me that she had left Spain before the Wedding at the church for attending a private wedding in UK with Queen Elizabeth II

I read that she had to leave to attend a christening of a god-child.
Must be tough ... when you're in demand.

It is 60 years ago, that D-Day happened, and it will be probably the last time that it will be celebrated with veterans. So that is why it celebrated with a big ceremony.

Actually from what I've read Queen Beatrix will be in attendance:
"Germany is being included for the first time, and Chancellor Gerhard Schröder will attend, along with the leaders of Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Greece, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia and New Zealand. So will Kings Albert of Belgium and Harald of Norway and Queens Beatrix of the Netherlands and Elizabeth II representing the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth."

Hi, I'm new to these boards of only a few weeks. I'm so GLAD LTR is back. I suddenly find myself interested in Netherlands royalty, with particular fascination about the queen and Maxima.
Can any Dutch posters tell a little about Beatrix's personality? What she is like as a queen? How she is regarded in the Netherlands? What kind of marriage she had? Happy? (Her husband, Claus, died recently, right? as did her mother, Juliana?) Her relationship with her children? Does she like Mabel?
Does she meet a lot of Dutch people? Is she fun to be with? I think she has a dazzling smile, and, as I just posed on RB Forum, I think she and Maxima have very similar merry, dancing eyes and big, warm smile. Anyone agree, disagree?

I found this in the BRMB. It's a pic from a photo exibition with portraits of Dutch Men and Women. I think that's a great pic of Queen Beatrix :)

Her eyebrows are too short.
She uses an eyebrowpencil but starts somewhere above the iris of her eye
