Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, News 3 (December 2007 - April 2013)

Wow, little Ariane in school already! She did not seem thrilled at the idea of Mummy and Daddy leaving, poor thing!
2 ?s- The article said that her health has not been the greatest, what sort of health problems has she had?
When did her sisters bigin school, and what grade are they in now? Do we have pics of their first day at school? I do not remember them being that scared the first day? But I guess it is different for each kid.

I believe Amalia skipped a grade because she was doing so well. She's now in group 4.
 
since she and her sister alexia are 2 years apart and amalia skipped one grade and is now on 4th grade, alexia is on the 1st, cause if she was on 2nd grade she would have did the same thing as amalia. right?
 
I just love the triple A's, they are such beautiful girls, inside&out!
 
wow, they are big girls!!! I think Amalia looks a lot to her grandma Beatrix!!!!!!and she looks very tall too!I love their hair!they are realy cute!

I find Alexia looks like her mum, while Amalia and Ariane look more from their father's side.

That was one of the sweetest videos ever :flowers: Ariane is such a funny little girl. She was brave and at the end more interested in her book than in her parents leaving, so cute :D

Isn`t Alexia in group 2? She started school in 2009, so 2009/2010 was her first school year and 2010/2011 is second.

Yes,Alexia is in 2nd grade and will move to 3rd after the summer holidays.:)
 
I like these girls, Amalia, how beautiful she is, and also so sweet. All of three are sweet but Amalia is different for me.
 
I feel like there's some confusion going on, regarding the school system and what grades the girls are in.

In Dutch primary or elementary school, there are 8 years, unlike most other school systems where there are only 6 years.

Basically, the first two years of Dutch primary school, are like Kindergarten. The children only learn to read and write when they're in the 3rd year, which is really 1st grade in other systems!

so, Amalia is in year 4, but that means 2nd grade. Alexia is in year 2, which is still Kindergarten. Ariane will start her first year of Kindergarten next school year again, because obviously the short time she'll go to school the rest of this school year is not a proper full year of school.

Witnessing the growth of these three little beauties is a pleasure indeed.I think Amalia is getting prettier and prettier as she grows up. She seems to have a strong and vibrant personality from very early days! Alexia is a true beauty but also the shiest of the trio. Little Ariane is absolutely precious. God bless them.
 
The dutch TV RTL has told that princess Ariane has a very serious lung disease. According to RTL, Willem Alexander and Maxima have flewn to Miami with their daughter to get treatment at a specialist clinic.
When Ariane was admitted to hospital in May 2007, shortly after her birth, the first time with severe breathing problems, the court told that it was a "lung infection".
RTL is now reporting, however, that it is an incurable lung disease. The life expectancy is about 36 years. In America there are experiments with new methods of treatment.
The court has not confirmed the news.

I pray for that this is not true...

Court expert Marc van der Linden has denied this, says that it is nonsense.
