Princess Margriet features in a video that was made for an exposition about the Dutch merchant fleet in the Maritime museum in rotterdam. The princess is the godchild of the fleet. She shares some anecdotes, among them that she received an enormous cake from the fleet on her 11th birthday. But she was only allowed to take 1 bite of it, the rest of the cake went to a charity.
The princess opened the exposition earlier this month.

A major exhibition of Maori arts and culture in the Netherlands - including a fully-carved ceremonial waka built by Northland's Hec Busby - will be opened this month by a member of the Dutch royal family.
The exhibition, simply called Maori, will be opened on October 18 by Pieter van Vollenhoven, brother-in-law of Queen Beatrix. Mr van Vollenhoven is also the patron of the New Zealand-Netherlands Foundation. - The Northern Advocate

The two waka's are the first made by Maori's for an exhibition in Europe,
so that is quit exceptional indeed. The waka's will be handed over with a
specially created Haka (ceremonial dance).
The exhibition is at the Museum Volkenkunde in Leiden.
