Yes, she did. And I loved it so much back then! Luckily she decided to wear it again, because it really suits her!

She is drinking from a wine glass, it doesn't have to be filled with wine but with water instead for example :)

That is right! And I am most sure that she did not drink the whole glass. She probrably takes a sip from time to time..

That might be, but there are also non-alcohol vines available too.

Just so everyone is aware, it is very normal in the Netherlands, and in fact Europe, to have other drinks, such as juice or milk, or other offered in wine glasses at events that are somewhat more "formal" or Business or entertainment.
I would be willing to be that it is not wine.

We don't know what the contents of her glass are.
But a glass of sparkling Moët & Pommery or a nice Vin de Bourgogne really is not bad.
In contrary to Coca-Cola or to juices with nutrasweet or aspartame, it is a 100% nature product, by God's very own grapes from sun-covered hills in France. Maybe we Europeans have a different attitude to wine. I always and ever drink wine, every day, when I'm having my main meal.

We don't know much of her.
She is Ottoline Antoinette ('Lieke') Gaarlandt van Voorst van Beesd, aged 59 and since 1993 Hofdame in the personal service of Her Majesty The Queen. There are six Hofdames, under supervision of the Grandmastress (the Mistress of the Robes).

Is the woman on the back Máxima's Hofdame?

you can easily recognize her as Hofdame by the nassaublue ribbon with a golden crowned 'B' which she wears on her lapel. And indeed it is Ottoline ('Lieke') Gaarlandt van Voorst van Beesd.
No:
she is not 'Máxima's Hofdame': the Grootmeesteres (Mistress of the Robes), the Hofdames and the Dames du Palais are all part of the Queen's Household.
When you see a Hofdame, a Chamberlain or an Aide-de-Camp in Máxima's slipstream, then it had pleased Her Majesty to request these functionaries to escort her daughter-in-law.

There is a difference in binge drinking, drinking lots of beer or drinking one glass of wine or champagne so now and then.
What is wine? It is just fermented juice of fruits. No more, no less. Actually a glass of wine a day is considered to be a very important part of a healthy diet.
Remember that softdrinks like Pepsi often have artificial colouring, sweeteners and modified enriched ingredients. In Europe these drinks are considered more risky than a glass of wine a day.
And see how beautiful and blossoming Princess Catharina-Amalia and Princess Alexia do look like....

My fiance likes a lot good wines, with main meal, from time to time. But the day I will be pregnant, I will be forbidden to drink a single glass of wine.
My father is a doctor and he has seen several women who drunk one or two glasses of wine during their pregnancy: the baby was (sometimes severely) handicapped. They couldn't find another cause to the handicap.
Yes, wine is good, but not for pregnant women.

I think the view of pregnancy and drinking alcohol depends on the alcohol consumption traditions in the various countries. In Norway (and the rest of Scandinavia?!?), it is considered correct for pregnant women to be a teetotaler during the pregnancy and nursing. But I see that in connection of the alchohol consumption traditions. In Norway, it is common to drink much but seldom (that is you, drink alcohol a few times a year (with individual differences) and often drink too much), and thus alcohol is considered a bad thing for the mum and the baby. While in Continental Europe the alcohol consumption is spread out over the whole year (in a little bit every day fashion), and thus Continental Europeans have another view of it, because alcohol (read: wine/beer) is such a normal part of everyday life.
Not being an expert on babies or anything, I don't think it's the wine itself that's the "bad guy" but the alcohol and the effects that has on an unborn baby, from my point of view (as a Norwegian speaking for myself). But I do agree with you, that it's the binge drinking (or alcoholism problem) that is the worst on the baby, not one glass at dinner. And I also agree that the non-alcohol beverages aren't always healthy either, with all the funny stuff that's put into them.
So if expectant mums should listen to all the do's and don't's with what they can drink, the safe bet is bottled mineral water (sparkly is optional)

nope
Sorry, Danielane, but a few glasses of alcohol during pregnancy does NOT cause handicaps in an unborn child ( I have doctors in my fam too). Sometimes babies are just born with a handicap without there being a clear reason for it. It sometimes *just happens*.
