Prince Constantijn has given a speech at the opening of the European Youth Parliament at the Hall of Knights in Den Haag today, November 5, 2012. Under the motto "Ending the Crisis" the EYP is bringing together 300 young people from 36 European countries until November 11, 2012.

Princess Laurentien has attended the children climate meeting Green Footsteps in Den Haag today, November 26, 2012.

Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien will stay in Brussels after the abdication. The RVD said that they will assist the new royal couple 'within the limits of their carreer'.Prince Constantijn is working for Euro commissioner Neelie Kroes, while Laurentien is a communication advisor. The prince and princess have to provide a living for themselves and do not receive any money from the government. The prince already said before, that due to this reason, it would be difficult to stop working.

On March 13 Princess Laurentien visited the HZ University of Applied Sciences in Vlissingen and attended a workshop on sustainability.

personally I think Constantijn and Laurentien will continue working while they can and eventually take a similar role to Margriet when they are older. Especially if Margriet starts to make it a little easier as she gets a bit older (like her sister Beatrix)

Today, Princess Laurentien attended the opening of the Join the Pipe watertappunten of the drinkwaterbedrijf Vitens at the Villa Nova school in Utrecht, June 12, 2013.
By giving away ten taps to the schools by Vitens the company wants other schools to persuade themselves to place watertaps to contribute to a healthier way of life for children.
