She is, as far as anyone can tell, the oldest living person in the world! What a nice birthday present for her to get a visit from the princess.

Some years ago mrs Hendrikje van Andel was invited to visit the queen. That was the year that here in Holland was the swine-plague. Al lot of animals got sick.We have in Holland something called " koninginnedag" . Every year the royal family celebrates in a different city the birthday of oure late queen Juliana.

Yes quite cool accessories! Thanks for the pictures Larzen.
I think they were taken yesterday when Laurentien was in the province of Gelderland. She was, I think, opening a cultural festival. She watched a music and dance show that was written to honour the year of Hans Christian Andersen.

I agree, the blue really suits her. It shows off her highlights in her hair very well. Glad to see pics of her again.

I think from all that I have seen of her, that she is a person of a strong character, and quite dominant in the Dutch RF, she seems to get along with them all and seems to have the right upbringing for this kind of life. BTW does she have a job\career? or is her only career being royal?

I copied this from the website of the royal house:
"Princess Laurentien started her career as a video journalist for CNN Headline News in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), where she worked from 1991 to 1992. From 1992 to 1995, she was executive director of the Belmont European Policy Centre in Brussels, a think tank on European affairs. From 1995 to 1997 she worked for Philip Morris in Brussels, where she was manager of government relations. In 1997 she was appointed deputy director of Edelman Worldwide, an international public relations agency, and in February 2000 joined the board of directors of the Brussels branch of Adamson BSMG Worldwide, an international consultancy specialising in strategic communications and public affairs. After their marriage in May 2001, Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien went to live in London, where the Princess worked for BSMG Worldwide, the consultancy she had worked for in Brussels. In London, she was head of Corporate Communications Practice, first for the UK, then for the European market. BSMG Worldwide merged with Weber Shandwick in January 2002. Since May 2003, she has been working as a freelance communications consultant."

She looks alot better compared to the wedding of PC-and Anita. Although I think the necklace is a bit too much. With the black borders on her dress, there wasn't much need for that long necklace.
