I think he needs a break. The King looks tired and seems to have acquired weight: picture.

The Opening the Jheronimus Bosch Year in the Cathedral was a very serious but also a beautiful ceremony I must say. I just saw it on the NPO app.

He comes from a family that has a tendency to gain weight. Queen Maxima is said to be conscious about that and is pushing a diet regime for the entire family, including her husband and her daughters.

Yesterday, February 25, King Willem-Alexander attended the commemoration of the February strike 75 years ago in Amsterdam.
The strike was the first large scale protest against the German occupation of the Netherlands and the persecution of Jews in Europe and was held because of the riad of the 420 Jewish men around the Jonas Daniel Meijer square in 1941.

Several dutch media report that K.W-A will start to learn flying a Boeing 737
Cookies op AD.nl

Currently he is licensed to fly a Fokker70 (the current government airplane is a Fokker70, but the article states there's a big chance that that also will be changed to a Boeing 737)

That is a lot of engagements with diplomats:
- receive all credentials of all new foreign ambassadors
- say farewell to all foreign ambassadors leaving The Hague
- preside the investiture of new Dutch ambassadors to be deployed
- receive in audience long-serving Dutch ambassadors leaving the Corps Diplomatique
- offering a lunch or diner to the doyen (or doyenne) du Corps Diplomatique
- the annual state banquet of the Corps Diplomatique
- the annual New Year's Reception for the Corps Diplomatique
- offering a farewell lunch for leaving ambassadors accredited more three years in The Hague
