Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie

The three sons of Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus

The three princes are very close and do love each other. They also openly hug and kiss each other and are very 'touchy'.

I loved the pics of the Netehrlands siblings...They looks so close one for the other! Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus could feel really proud of their children. How sad that Prince Claus could not know closely his grandchildren...

Vanesa.

I think this is Victoria of Sweden, too. She seems very close to both Madeleine and Carl Philip.

Prince Felipe.
Crown Princess Victoria.
Crown Prince Frederik.
Prince William. :)

LQ, are you sure CP Felipe is close to the Infantas? Elena and Christina seem very close to each other, but what about their relationship with their brother? I believe they are not that close anymore, especially since Felipe got married. This is just my impression, that's why I'm asking.

I have no idea whether Frederik and Joachim of Denmark are especially close (after all, talking about relationships in families one doesn't know personally is purely speculative), but this is a really sweet picture of them that makes me think that they do have a good relationship:

Also, I agree that the Swedish siblings seem to be very fond of each other!

Sure. I wouldn't doubt about Frederick's and Joachim's close relationship. But the Swedish siblings come first to mind because it's so obvious that they also enjoy each other's company. One is always happier when she/he sees his siblings as friends.

How about older siblings like Mergrethe, Anne-Marie, Benedikte? They seems be close to each other specially the older two.

Idk how close they really are, they seem kinda close. But Q Margrethe has told that they got closer after Q Ingrid died.

Margrethe, Benedikte, and Anne-Marie weren't particularly close until their mother died. They lived very separately in different countries, and most of what they heard from each other came through Queen Ingrid. (Benedikte was of course in Denmark often, but she and Margrethe did not make much effort to see very much of each other because they had never gotten along very well.) After Ingrid's death in 2000, their relationship changed a lot and the three of them became very close - the book Tre Sostre talks about how they see each other as often as possible and talk on the phone frequently.

Margrethe is quoted as saying:
"We were simply closer together than we ever were when our parents lived. We have never been as close as we are today. When mom passed away, we suddenly discovered everything that binds us together. Our relationship grew stronger, and today we come together in an entirely different level than we did before. [In the past] our common connection was always Mother. But we must instinctively have known that when she was gone, we had to stick together, otherwise we would lose each other. We knew that deep inside, and therefore we did not lose each other - quite the contrary. We discovered that we were each other's closest when we did not have a mother anymore."

Jan Bloch Skipper, the journalist who conducted the interviews for the book, remarked on how affectionate they seemed to be with each other. In the interviews he prints, they certainly seem to interact well together. Margrethe is definitely the dominant one of the three, but she also seems surprisingly motherly with them. She and Benedikte still seem to see Anne-Marie as their baby sister.

That's the impression I have as well.

HSH Prince Albert

In all the world no brother has been closer to his sisters and they to him than HSH Prince Albert of Monaco.

About Felipe and sisters: on photos or videos it looks that Felipe is closer to Elena than Cristina.

my vote go to Crown Prince Hakoon and Princess Martha Louisa

Exactly! :) I also thought that I'd read it somewhere, thank you for posting that! (;

Just about to say the exact same thing myself!

The Queen and Princess Margaret looked close too,as do Peter and Zara and Beatrice and Eugenie.

It must be lonely growing up in those unusual circumstances- a sibling must be a blessing!

Prince William and his brother Prince Harry seem close as they are close in agge. Prince Andrew and Prince Edward at least in their younger days seemed pretty close. The ones who are closer in age usually are. The ones where there is an age difference the closeness may come later in life.

Well, HGD Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg enjoys being a big brother to his younger siblings! :)

Queen Elizabeth II and her younger sister, Princess Margaret, are example of good sisters/siblings, and of sisterly love. In fact, I was very touched when QEII burst into tears during Princess Margaret's funeral. :(

Queen Sofia & her sister Princess Irene of Greece.

Queen Beatrix & her sister Princess Margriet of the Netherlands.

The Infantas Elena & Cristina of Spain

Princes William & Harry of Wales.

TSH Prince Albert II & Princess Stephanie of Monaco.
