If You Were A Royal?!

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
If I was heir to the French Throne(French American) id do my very best to improve the lives of the lower classes of the French people and even the middle class. Doing this would gain favor from them in having me as there King. I wouldnt really pay atttention towards the Rich or high classes. In fact, i'd probably tax them more. But Id imitate a lot of the German policies and perhaps even the Danish and try and imply it into my system to better sustain the people and have them happy.

Education would be free. BUT!! if that citizen failed a number of times(there will be a limit) then he will be required to pay(With financial aid) but Im positive no one would fail because id make it a law for all schools to encourage the students to pursue a good life and how failure is not option.

Id present myself as a strong person to the eyes of the French people and restore the days where there was Glory and prosperity under the King of Charlemagne.

Also, any evidences where the person did INDEED rape the women then that man will will be stripped of what he used to rape her. This way, he will always be reminded of the harsh treatments towards a women.

Teachers will be given a raise by the progress of there students in schoool. This way, itd encourage teachers to do there best for the students.

Id focus on the French military as well. How effective can I be in the middle east that can bring aid and help defend countries from rogue organizations or fanaticals? but id be very reserved. I would only use my military for France, not for others. I will make it my lifes goal to make sure France does not need to rely on anyone militarily or economically to help itself or others.

Id also make it a way that if and IF some republican decided to remove me or the French Monarhy would mean a division within the country. The removal of my family would mean France being divided into small states. Once a states, they'd have the option to unify or remain a state. If there is a vote for them to decide, it'd make it a way where it'd take 2years and they'd have to remove the entire consitution and recreate it. Which Im sure that process alone is torture. But even before that ever happens. Id make sure Id have many good relations with all the people who will be leaders of these french states. Unification would mean these newly autoamtically elected presidents of there state would remove there new powers of governance, meaning they wont have as much power to govern anymore and we all know how people dont like that(History can vouch for that).

In all of Europe, I want to be looked upon as Strong(Like Putin). Takes no ones sht. But Id create a strong relationship with the Germans, since they're basically my neighbors.

If I were a royal: I think I would thoroughly enjoy my wealthy status and all the perks that come with it..no hypocrisy here! Because I know the price to pay would be the spotlight and criticism... i would avoid any scandal related to criminal actions and make sure my employees would be treated well... I would try to do good when possible and I would dedicate myself to some charites close to my heart... Uhm... nothing more comes to my mind as of now...

If i were a royal i do what royals do. Charites , trips and smiles.

Depends, am I a royal or a figurehead?

If I'm a figurehead, that's basically being a celebrity because you happen to have been born to a particular family line, and while it's useful to have a voice that people will actually listen too so that you can be a force for freedom and individual liberty, if you're corrupt or even refuse to fear God, your existence becomes utterly pointless, and even harmful. Like Kim Jong, for example, who's only use in this world, if there is even one, is solely to keep a worse dictator than himself from ruling and harming the North Korean people. But he's pretty bad, so it would be very hard to be worse.

However, if I'm an actual royal, as in I actually rule and govern the people, then I would immediately start focusing on drawing the people towards the things that have progressed and solidified freedom in the hearts and minds of the people and resulted in them demanding it from their governments. Not the least which of these would be to encourage and promote Christianity. Not Catholicism, mind you, but Bible-centered Christianity that focused on forming a relationship with God, Christ Jesus, and fellowship with other Christians in the formation of one's personal doctrine before their God.

Next, I would lead them towards truth. In all of our scientific endeavors, I would make a concerted effort to find and remove bias of any kind from the sciences. This would result, of course, in a dramatic shift in how science is funded. I would find and remove the corrupt influences that bias scientific findings.

I would cause the funding to be blind for one thing. Nobody would know where in science their funding is going. I may not even allow them to pick the field of research. I would not allow people to be dismissed from their jobs simply because they expressed doubts towards a way of thinking in science. I would not allow people to be trampled upon when they pursue less popular areas of research or announce their results.

In fact, all results will be made effectively public anyway on any science that is conducted. I would make the process of science effectively transparent by publications explaining studies and how they are conducted, and why. And those explaining it would be paid blindly. Nobody would know that their money is paying them, and they would not know who was paying them.

One of the most detrimental problems we have today is how easily our science becomes politicized. Once science becomes political, politics has trillions to throw around to get what they need out of it. And this isn't new. This has been a problem for all of human history. Once science becomes political, politics always gets what it wants out of it, and that should never ever be the case. Science is about the pursuit of truth, not political power, wealth, or convenience.

I would also shore up our military. I would focus on growing our military might and strength. I would pursue WMD research to make them more effective and surgical to hit the enemy right where we need too with utter destruction while minimizing innocent casualties because when this world finally falls into a nuclear war with some place like Iran, primarily because of Obama's ridiculous deal, I don't want my people to be at the mercy of lunatics.

I would also implement freedom in everything from the economy to the individual with a primary focus on the integrity of the family unit.

It's not Capitalism that fails. 400+ years of Capitalism that brought the U.S. from rebel colonies to the foremost powerhouse of the world . . . yeah, it's not Capitalism. It's Socialism trying to control Capitalism . . . so that the elites can become secure in their place and stay rich without having to worry about competition destroying them. We are creatures of habit, but cycles are simply a reality. The poor will grow into rich, and then fall again back into poor as others rise in their place. It's evolution, cycles, and that's simply reality. Companies can't stand forever, and any economy that tries to force that to happen will fall as well. And that's what Socialism tries to do.

The thing is this, Capitalism will grow a nation's economy by huge amounts in relatively very short time, but it must be watched so that key problems are avoided.

One, monopolies. Monopolies are good for a very short period of time, and then become detrimental to freedom and economic freedom. Therefore, competition is the answer. Choices that rise up exploiting demand and are always vying for dominance. Companies need to be able to fall because economies evolve, and inevitably other companies will need to be able to rise up in place of the former companies that dominated a particular market.

Two, regulations, fees, and taxes do not become so burdensome that it causes any market to become largely prohibitive for new-comers to the market. We've all seen how profitable Microsoft is. It makes absolutely no sense that Apple and Microsoft are quite literally the only operating systems for the common user today. With how rich they have made their people, there should be a host of competitors other than the open-source Linux which because there is so very little regulations, fees, taxes, or whatever costs has very very many competing versions to choose from. And most of them are free. I realize Linux is largely open-source, but bear in mind, Assembly is very largely studied and known, so there are many many people that could effectively create their own operating systems to compete with Microsoft and Apple, yet they don't in spite of the tremendous amount of money one can make with a successfully-competing operating system for common users.

Anyway, I guess I have made my point and rambled on at bit much. So I'll stop here. These are the things I would do as a royal that actually governed and ruled.

I look at it as I married in as I would be a totally different person if raised royal.

I would rather marry a minor, someone far enough that we have private lives, but we still get invited to Trooping or Ascot like events. A tomboy, but would love access to a tiara I may get to wear once in a blue moon. Even if just our wedding. And I want a manor but because I am a history buff.

I am a nurse. I am it for practical reasons. I love helping people and I can support myself. I would continue my work in pediatrics at a hospital where ever we are. As a private citizen I would still get involved in charity. I would like to be involved with UNICEF and Red cross. Use our manor to actually pan and host events. I am a history buff, and depending on our home, could see opening up the gardens and areas, both for people to experience, but also to help expenses.

If I married a senior royal my focus oddly would not be strongly in medical. I have always been passionate about history and art, and though I have my masters, was never able to do more with it. As much as I love nursing, I went into it for practical reasons. I would love to continue my education, and get my PHD, would likely take a lot longer than normal, as would be balanced with royal duties, but still. My interest was in Scottish history mainly but the whole British aisles, the older the better.

I would snap up as many art/history related patronages as I could. If in UK (to imaginary 3rd prince), there are so many galleries and museums I would love to work with. I wouldn't simply attend parties. When in town I'd attend family days and guest talks. I would love to take my camera into some of the queen's art and such collections, and publish a book, whose proceeds would go to one of my charities. I would spend my time working as well in cultural areas, like promoting the Welsh and Celtic languages (I was inspired when I worked in Wales by the movement for more kids to learn Welsh).

I wouldn't turn my back on medicine. I would be involved in heart disease and diabetes, causes I have lost a lot of family to. I think it is important you not simply pick a hot cause or big cause, but one you are truly passionate about. I would work with childhood programs on obesity to help prevent future diabetes. I would be involved with program like Jamie Oliver's to make school lunches healthy.

And animals. Animal well-fare. Assistance dogs. Conservation programs.

And we would be the royal cat house. I love dogs, would love a spaniel or two, but we would have to have cats in any house. Not just barn cats. Be like Camilla, they would be shelter pets. My husband may want me to stop going to shelters in concern I was the crazy cat princess.

Who: Prince Eugen of Sweden
What would we do: I would like to paint a painting while Prince Eugen paints.
Four Things we would discuss:
1. Did Eugene like the fact that he was mentioned as a candidate for the throne of Norway?
2. What is his favorite painting he painted?
3. Did he like his painting lessons in Paris?
4. What is his favorite Swedish castle/palace?

If I were a Royal, I would want to have a good understanding of the work that is done by the people working for Grandfather (The King). I would want to see the gardeners working firsthand in the Royal Gardens. I would want to inquire about the flowers that they have been planting.

If I were royal, I'd loathe the intrusion into my private life. I'd be irritated by the media attention & having to watch what I say. I would definitely be Princess Anne in that I'd work hard & do my duty while gritting my teeth at the ridiculous questions reporters ask. I confess I would love the jewels though. I'd take every opportunity to delve into the vaults & would love to make a film about them. I'd use my influence to push for a permanent exhibition of them in BP.

I would love living in a beautiful, historic palace, and having country residences with lovely gardens. And I'd appreciate having the chance to draw attention to important issues and causes.

I would not enjoy having my appearance criticised all the time. My shape is more Duchess of York circa 1989 than Duchess of Cambridge!

What would you do if you were a king/queen?

Supposing that the people of a country, for whatever reason, declared you their monarch and ruler, what would you do?

How would you rule?

How would you behave in your personal life? Would you demand that others bowed before you and called you 'your majesty' or would you be cool?

My first gut reaction to this question is what I'm going to go with. "Heavy is the head that wears the crown".

Knowing myself, the first thing I would do is respectfully decline the honor and be honest with the people and state that I'm *not* the person they want or need as a leader and monarch. I'm in my late 60s and have no experience whatsoever that even comes close to having diplomatic skills which, I believe, is a necessity for a monarch representing *all* the people.

If I had to compare myself in any way to a monarch in history, it would have to be King George VI of the UK. I have severe hearing impairment and with that comes difficulty in public speaking. The fact that this man rose above his speech impediment and succeeded in being a wonderful monarch for his time regardless of the circumstances puts him on my "most admired" list.

To have a successful parade, it needs those clappers on the sidewalks to cheer the parade as it passes. This is where I belong the best. ?

I can only visualize myself as marrying into a royal family, not born in. And then, I wouldn't even consider such a marriage unless I had military service and was content to practice restraint in conversations, meaning not trying to be funny or make my mark with bold opinions.

TRF is not the place to write a political manifesto. Posts have been removed.

I'd love it. I'd love to live in one of the cottages as a granddaughter of the Queen with a Royal title that I would demand passed on to my kids! LOL

Imagine living in the beautiful cottage surrounded by the Castle or Palace grounds.

To accomplish that, you'd also have to be male. Females do not pass titles down to their children as a rule. The Princess Royal's children do not hold titles. Mark Phillips was offered a title on marriage but both Anne and Mark turned it down. Beatrice and Eugenie's children will not inherit any titles at birth either.

If I were a royal, I would most likely marry into it as opposed to be born into it. I would give money to health organization to help find a cure or a safe vaccine for COVID-19.

I would also give money to those in the entertainment field and give money to performing arts center to keep them going.

I would try to help those in need.
