This is actually one of the few things she has worn that I have liked, although personally I would have worn different shoes with a higher heel but she was walking on grass so I understand why she didn’t.

I don't know if this has been posted before--I would be shocked if it hasn't, but Queen Beatrix at her son's 40th birthday party:

It is just plain wrong to do that to your child.

Cleary not one of the queen's most favorable appearances!

You know it wouldn't be that bad if it didn't have the ruffle around her neck.

Oh yes. We all had a big discussion about that one in the 40th birtday thread. She looked like a giant strawberry on the attack!

I am somewhat new to this board and this is the first time I've seen the picture of Queen Beatrix at the birthday party. Poor woman! She looks like a parade float.

I thought she looked like a court jester gone psycho.
But, she wears it well, regardless of how hideous it is--proving herself to be the Queen that she is.

Caroline during the Rose Ball
Probably the most hideous dress I ever saw

I have no words for this nightmare...

My goodness what on earth is she wearing? What has happened to the Princess Caroline that was known for her style and glamour?

I'm sorrry. Not to be prudish or anything, but is her nipple showing? Is that really how a princess of two royal houses and a mother of grown children should dress?

Right! It was a disaster also the way she pulled this dress up while walking.
Totally unelegant!

I think you are right! The dress is slipping down. What a disaster!

Well, I just cannot believe that Caroline actually wore that. At first I honestly thought it was a photoshopped picture! It is that bad! Someone as stunning and chic as Caroline---what a waste. Easily up there with the Worst of the Worst and the Most Terrible of the Most Terrible.
