Oh no! I thought that school matron's uniform had hit the bin ages ago.
Lovely look at the dinner but, I can hardly believe I am saying this, I am heartily sick of that white court dress, it should be saved for the annual Opening of Parliament and new and colourful gala gowns debuted. But what is worse . . . the Bucheron is fast becoming pedestrian!

Does Camilla have to wear all white to UK state dinners?
The white on top black on bottom evening gown that she wore to the coronation in the Netherlands was exquisite.
Also please tell me what do court shoes and court dress mean in 2016.
I love the tiara. It fits the shape or her head and her hair. I would wear it all the time☀️

I whole heartedly agree. Sadly, like the Opening of Parliament, the State banquets now appear to have a 'uniform' for the senior British royals. Camilla used to spring a few surprises - especially with her jewellery. I can't see things will change during the remaining years of HM's reign. It struck me from looking at the video clips there is, understandably, a very tired and perfunctory appearance to the whole occasion.

The Duchess of Cornwall looked nice on both gala-events in Amsterdam and both in a nice colour.

I was not sure about the shoes at first but have talked myself into them. She could wear this color a lot more often IMO.

the parasol is still very much in use today: thinking of Asia where women also use them to avoid tanning pale skins

I think Camilla's quite fond of parasols (which are dainty and lovely items IMHO.) I've seen her carrying them several times before.

I love Camilla's touring wardrobe for hot climates. She has really settled into a look that she likes and looks great on her. The use of a parasol instead of a sun hat is inspired. A hat just wouldn't look right with her wardrobe but the parasol adds a wonderful note of distinction. Better yet, it looks wonderfully comfortable and, most important of all, it gives a nod to the dress of women in these countries and offends no one.
This first one is gorgeous, blue but not an insipid pastel and she's rocking it:

Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever seen her wear any insipid colours. I wonder if we will see some of her previous 'go to' ensembles?

She even has evening attire to suit:

I noticed that she seems to be able to relate more easily to both men and women even where the strictest of abayas and niqabs are worn, which is an added bonus. Her respect for their culture makes it easier to share and Charles seems to wander ahead quite comfortable in the knowledge that Camilla is happily doing her thing, as is he, and doesn't require his presence to function very well thank you.

Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands so you were completely correct.

She really does have great taste in looks for thes hotter climates. The light pastille colors and the flowing outfits really suit her. The first look is my favorite but the all blue is quite lovely too. I love her accessories too

Liking Camilla's very relaxed wear on these tours. I think The Queen would also look good in a wardrobe like this too.
