I think it was just fine. I do hope she starts to wear brooches a bit more than she does at the moment.

When I first saw this - I thought "worst picture ever," and thought about how much I would have to love someone to have snaps of me like this published.
But then I looked again, and realized she is beautiful. Age and wrinkles can't keep the twinkle out of her eye or that smile from showing through. Beauty may look different at different ages, and we all need to learn this (me included).

The Duchess appears to be in an elegant new gown for the State Opening of Parliament today.

It looks quite stunning and appears to be a variation on her coatdress daywear. It looked like the sleeves near the cuff were embroidered with seed pearls or some such and the "coat" appeared to have embroidery also. But I can't find a photo!

It was a spectacular robe de manteau style combination bringing back the old days of court day-dresses.
This sort of dresses are still observed at the other side of the channel: see Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands in a similar robe de manteau: http://www.royalglitter.com/wp-conte...0508588713.jpg

I agree. The detail on her coat, sleeves and handbag is exquisite. She is also wearing matching satin shoes this time. Well done!

Camilla looked very elegant. Of course, I wish she would change up her tiara's once in a while, but her gown wonderful. Of course Charles always look smart and kingly in his uniforms.

The gown is a bit too white, its like chalk white and it hardly flatters anybody. The design of the dress, the fit and the detailing is very nice though.

Her Highness looks absolutely stunning, and regal. The gown suits the occasion, and it's not overdone in terms of detailing. Well done.
