I really liked the Abbey outfit. This is the elegant duchess with her recognisable style. The leather gloves for the evening reception spoilt the look. Whatever happened to opera gloves ?

The hat may have been worn in Dec 2019, but I do not believe it was new then.

Neither I nor any of the fashion bloggers who deal with hats or Camilla’s wardrobe have been able to find any sightings of this hat prior to 2019. Do you have any previous photos?

Oh, very nice! Camilla does love her polka dots, but I can forgive her that because this is a lovely coat, and the hat looks fantastic on her.

That dress must be over 10 years old, and I do not think it has ever been fully seen in public.

That's what I thought as well, she has that dress for some years now, but the great shade of green has a renewal effect..?

I love that dress. She wore it for Ladies' Day at Cheltenham last year too but with a cream coat instead.

Well, doesn't she look nice? This really is a fantastic look for her and she seems to be quite fond of that dress but I can certainly see why. It looks fantastic on her and with the pop of green she definitely wears it all well today. :flowers:

Perfect for today’s visit to the races. The fedora style hat suits her.

Yes the Duchess and her polka dots a very chic look today at Ladies' Day at Cheltenham!

Love love love this on her. She joins Sophie in the Fedora Hall of Fame!
Its just a really nice fit of the fashion to the person.

She looks terrific, the color, the dress, but, oh my, I love the hat !

A bit of a meh look from Camilla but it's probably her comfortable home attire!

I don't think she is "meh" at all. I would love to see a better photograph of her jumper as the button detail on the shoulders looks to be a point of interest as indeed do the lime green patches on the sleeves. It just lifts the ensemble out of pedestrian with those whimsical touches.

I can hear the 'ding' of the tiangle.
Her dark, smart, casual wear is appropriate for lockdown.

^^^^^ You are right, she looks wonderful and I love her ageless 'country casual' style. That is what I expect to see people in the type of lockdown she and Charles are in. She looks like she could go for a stroll to the local grocery shop and not be out of place. It's strange that the "olds" are more relaxed and normal looking than their children or grandchildren.

She looks wonderful as usual. Emerald green looks good on her and somehow the tartan on the shoulder looks like it belongs there. But the piece de resistance was the feather in the front of her hat. As they say"go big or go home. She a absolutely nailed it.

Its a style that has served hr well in her c15years of public life: elegant, well tailored, clearly good quality fabrics, never over the top or grand.

Elegant look on the duchess as always. :flowers:

She is wearing the pin of the 12th lancers, which her father served in during WWII to honor him.

I like her including the tartan, earasaid of sorts, to the look. Nod to being in Scotland for the ceremony.

She appears to have found a tailored style of outfit that she is comfortable with, her outfits although totally different materials , colours and finishings are basically the same style. Good for her she has found what she likes and is sticking to it.

Except for those monumental marvels of millinery magnificence at Royal Ascot, Trooping of the Colour, Garden Parties, weddings and on Commonwealth Day. Wow, that's just a few occasions . . . I am going into withdrawals. Few women have the confidence to rock them with such panache.

Having just checked out interest and seeing just how much we are missing. Never mind, at least we have the forums dress and jewellery threads to drown our sorrows in. Camilla has rarely inflicted a fascinator on us and seems to keep them for family private weddings, but she does like to throw us a curve every now and then.
