LOVE the hair/jewels (are those new earrings?). Love the color of the dress...and the back of the dress is fabulous! The front skirt is beautiful (so are her shoes)...but the top. The top is not attractive, too much material and the fit is off.

The dress isn't ill-fitting - it's a different silhouette for Catherine. This is a very "Bond" look - kind of 70s, a little risque with the sheerness but covered up sort of at the same time. Everyone's been asking for different silhouettes, and she's tried one.
This is a very luxurious look, to me, and it is kind of daring with so much sheer and the rather exposing cut of the inner neckline. But this is also a very classic look, with the "blouson" cut of the top, which is especially noticeable in front.

I agree! She was treading the line of sexy without going overboard. And when should you do that if not at a Bond premiere?! I think she managed to walk that fine line splendidly!

On a different note, Ms Harris is the best dressed lady at the screening. A simple cut and rich colour shows off Ms Harris' amazing figure.

I completely agree with you about the front and back. Not so great from the front, but fine from the back. Hair, jewels and makeup are lovely though.

i don't like this dress as much as i liked the red dress she wore for the state dinner. it is OK but missing the wow factor. combined with her earlier outfit, not kate's best day. the hair fails to impress me too.

The back is nice, but it's a shapeless piece of fabric from the front. Not her best.

I kind of wish the top was more structured in the front on top. Our remind me of that dress gwnyeth palrow wire to the Oscars which flopped because of the no bra look. But Catherine looks better.

Don't like this top on Catherine. The back opening looks like she forgot to finish pulling the zip and then you see the zip tab. Top doesn't compliment her at all. I much prefer her figure hugging gowns.

I have to say, even if the dress was not spot on I really enjoy that she's playing with different shapes and cuts! :)

Since I have complained about her hair for the last four years, let me say this is the best it has ever looked. I can think of any number of occasions starting with her wedding that this style would have been better than how she styled it. Now, just how much of that hair originated on her head is another matter but I am not qualified to go there.
The color of the dress is nice but a bit odd for autumn. The fit of the dress is horrible and just accentuates how terribly thin she has gotten. If you don't want the world to know that you wear a padded push-up bra, you don't wear what she wore this morning and then wear a dress like this in the evening. On the whole, the dress looks like a glamorous gown and robe set from a 1940's or 1950's movie.

Oh I like this look. Very glamourous. A nice mix of 20's, 50's and 70's style.

I don't like it much, but I admit it is a different look for her.

She looks great. I especially LOVE her hairstyle. How I wish she had worn this style for her wedding.

falling in line with the general consensus...Love the hair! Love the back! love love the new earrings! the belt is cool.... but perplexed on the front... how did she walk out the door thinking that fit?
I think that same look and feel could have been accomplished with the liquid silver one shoulder Jenny Packham gown she wore in 2011

The back and hair are fabulous. The front I do not die for but it is suitable to the whole

The blue gown is stunning! She looks very elegant, regal, and beautiful. The back of the dress is very lovely. One of the best gowns she's worn.

I like this one better than the one-shouldered silver one. To me, Kate's shoulders should be kept covered up, because they look so terribly thin.

And she matched the blue in the dress in the movie poster at the top of the stairs.
