It's an OK look. Understated but appropriate.

I agree. I love the dress in general but, I don't think it's flattering.

The color's nice, but she needs better undergarments. Things aren't where they ought to be.

Ding ding ding!! Precisely! I'm not sure what's going on, but the top is not flattering at all.

The color is great with Sophie's coloring.

I have to say, I thought this dress made her look quite frumpy at Ascot I and I agree with myself again regarding last night. The dress is a beautiful colour and matches Sophie's colour and blonde hair perfectly, but I just think the dress style is not perfect for her. It does make her look quite wide, or wider than she is, and where the dress stops does not look overly flattering. Sophie looks lovely, as she always does, but I am not sure this dress was a good choice. Of all the clothes in her wardrobe(s), I would not have expected this dress.

When the camera flashed to the Queen arriving, for one awful moment when I saw Sophie in a pale colour she was wearing her white pant-suit, but thank goodness she was not.

The Countess of Wessex attended the Paralmpics today and looked gorgeously patriotic:

The outfit is a bit "flight attendant" to me, but she looks nice. :)

I was just about to say, Isabelle, it's nice but straying into flight attendant territory. She seems to be in great shape, though, and very happy and comfortable.

I agree, or even office like. Sophie the secretary!

Good point about the brooch. I like the dress, love the colour and cut, but her bra is awful. She looks like a sagging old lady or her mother in law. There is no need to look 80 when you are 40.

In soft dresses like this the bra is everything. With a brooch and a better bra, slightly padded and uplifting, she'd look like a major knockout.

I love that jacket! The second pic is particularly lovely. Nice to see the little Wessexes, too.

I like the top part of the outfit, but the skirt and heels make it look a bit stuffy for the outing. I would have liked to have seen a pair of white pants instead. Other than that, she looks really nice.

To me the outfit screams 'teacher' and is bait too formal for the event, but boy, is Sophie rocking it! Love the patriotic touch, especially with the kids' t-shirts .

I think Sophie looked great today, if a tad "flight attendant", but I think that may be because of her scarf. I do like her look though, she looked lovely and it was lovely to see the whole Wessex family out in force today, especially the kids with their Team GB t-shirts.

Those are her LK Bennet shoes, one of her many favourite shoes which she wears a lot. They must be comfy as most of the British Royal women have LK bennet wedges.
