There are dozens of pictures out there of Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. Here are some that I found from Corbis. I noticed that Sarah was heavily influenced by her sister in law, Princess Diana, wearing similar types of sailor suit dresses during her pregnancy. She has also made her share of fashion "faux pas", as you see in the pictures below. But I think like Diana and Princess Martha Louise of Norway, she too has found her distinct style...

I am not a fashion expert, but I think most of these dresses/suits look awful. For some unknown reason most "British Royals" seem to have a very bad style, except may be for princes Harry and William.

That's true! I tried very hard to find a dress that wasn't too awful or maybe even beautiful. But didn't get lucky....lol...
Could someone else post a pictures of Duchess of York in beautiful, elegant dresses.

I think we need to remember, too, that all of these pictures posted were of Sarah in the '80s and on the whole (not Sarah exclusively) fashion was dreadful. If William and Harry were women during the hey day of the '80s likely they would have some major fashion faux pas in hindsight, too.
Diana wore some pretty awful dresses, too, during this period -- and if you consider that she is praised and held up for her style now -- people mostly mean what she wore in the last 5 or so years before her death.
When you consider what Sarah wears now, she pulls off some very nice numbers now and then, such as the recent simple black dress with brooch she wore to the Princess Diaries 2 premier with Beatrice.

i agree. Sarah did made some bad fashion choices, but she is very stylish these days (well most of the times :p ), she recently wore some really beautiful outfits!
about the designer: i know that Sarah loves Dolce & Gabbana

Her wedding dress was made by Lindka Cierach, but I don't know how much else that designer did for her.

Duchess of York's Fashions
The Duchess has always caused a stir where her style and fashion is concerned. After Diana, she must be one of the most photographed women in Britain and this thread celebrates an elegant Duchess.

Out for Lunch
Again the Duchess wears a dark skirt and a pair of killer black stiletto heels. The last two pictures really highlight the Duchess's love for high, pointy heels.
