Flicking through some of my books lately, I came across an outfit of Fergie's that looks like something out of a pantomime. She wore a white and blue checked dress for Royal Ascot in 1986.

I think you must mean this picture. And yes, it is totally ridiculous.
Although the outfit she wore on the next day of Ascot, now that was a true horror.

I also think she looks beautiful. Stunning! I adore the gloves...

This gown doesn't flatter her at all.And the neckline seems too tight.
Generally, the whole look seems cheapy to me.JMHO

I think it's a little bit tacky too. But I do like her in black as this color suits her because of the color of her complexion.

The dress looks tacky and unflattering. The lace used looks cheap and added last minute since the dress looks like it was a strapless dress with an added detail of the samll flower between the bust which doesnt show much because its so small.
The gloves do nothing with the outfit.

I'm afraid I have to agree. The gown looks as if it's too small for Sarah and she really had to squeeze to get it to fit. In all fairness Catherine Deneuve's dress looks cheap and ill fitting also.

Not one of the nicest things i've seen Sarah in. It just doesn't flatter her. And doesn't go with her hair.

It's nice to see the Duchess in a lighter colour.

The one nice thing I can say about the dress is the colour: I'm rather fond of purple. The clutch is fine as well.
The dress itself looked very cheap, although I'd imagine it had cost quite a lot. And the tacky jewellery Sarah chose to accessorize it did nothing to improve the overall look.
On a brighter note, the movie received positive reviews from Canadian critics.

She doesn't work in an oracle,so she'd better leave those Gracian dresses for another heroine With a greater body actually

Well, its like christmas and new year at the same day when Sarah Ferguson has a perfect outfit. She's just a fashion desaster most of the time and always was IMO. No offence, I have and always had sympathy for her although.

There is nothing wrong with Sarah's body.
It appears that she has the body size of an average American and British woman. I believe its what.... a size 12 or 14?
And from what I recall from my history classes, Grecian women weren't necessarily thin as well.
I love the purple dress and I think it looks lovely on her. I think she didn't have to add the necklace. Its distracting and does nothing for the dress.
And could someone tell me how you can judge a dress to be cheap by a picture? I usually can only tell when I am touching the actual item.

The waistline rather mimics Eugenie's, don't you think? But the purple wasn't a good choice for her, I think it's too voluminous. She would have done better to wear something like Beatrice's, and show off her pretty legs, or something with a more defined waistline.
I think Sarah has a nice figure. There's nothing wrong with being a respectable healthy weight and being an American 12-14.

Ask Beatrix Fan. He's got a talent for that, recognizing certain fabrics, cuts, etc.

Sarah has a good body, and this dress shows it.
The colour is very modern nowadays, and it fits her perfectly.

Do you mean the colour suits her perfectly? If so I agree, it is a nice colour but my problem with the dress is that it doesn´t FIT her, the skirt is fine but the top looks cheap, a very bad cut. I don´t mind the tassle necklace but the top is a disaster.
