Can we have photos of her in the state dinner dress?
 
I don't know-. This time I kind of like it.
Though it still is definitely one of her worst.
I still don't like the ruffles, and the glitter on the top.
The Dutch ladies look much better.

When I was about to click on the links, I thought I would be viewing an awful, 'what was she thinking' dress, although that's not what I saw. I actually like this dress, my only complaint would be that the ruffles aren't really my cup of tea.
 
I agree about the ruffles. She doesn't look as elegant as she always seems to look. Maybe her hair? She also seems tired..

The ruffles kind of make it look like crepe paper.
 
The arrival coat looks like it is padded! Just awful. Love her red gown, accentuates her fabulous aged 70! figure!
Grey suit for museum, just perfect.
She does looks tired to me too.
 
Queen Silvia's Fashion and Style Part 4: April 2013 -

Silvia's dress for the Belgian introductory visit appeared new. It did however remind me of her purple dress.
 
I love the colour but I'm not too keen on the silver decorations, although on the other hand Silvia looks very elegant and sophisticated.
 
You took the words right out of my mouth, HPrincess! Silvia always manages to look regal, somehow...
 
what a winner of a dress, great draping, color for her, length, even the slightly padded shoulders are agreat for her. Lovely hair too, a plus in my book

That pink suit is absolutely beautiful! It's a great color.

Don't like the evening dress. Looks like a red leopard print, I just don't like
animal prints.

I absolutely adore the pink suit with the scarf! And the bright blue outfit is equally smart. Better to need sunglasses than see the Queen wearing blah colors... :)
 
Agreed! I'm the kind of girl that will take bold over blah any day!

Classic Silvia style. Elegant and a beautiful colour which was perfect for this event. The shade was just right as she did not want an outfit that competed with Madeline and Leonor's outfits but this blue lace complemented them beautifully. Silvia has wonderful posture.

I agree - she looks wonderful! :flowers: Beautiful dress!

I am always captivated by her speech. She is a very elegant woman - right down to the tone of her voice. Lovely woman.

Silvia looked fabulous. I love that shade of blue on her and I agree MagMil, it's hard to believe she's 70. She's very elegant and stylish for her age - Queen Sofia also falls into this category IMO.
