Indeed. I think everything was chosen with moderation but I'm afraid the brooch doesn't stand out enough...It should be more shimmering IMO.Queen Paola attending the New Year's reception organised by the Royal Family for members of the European Institutions at the Royal Palace in Brussels (January 12, 2011): http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Belgian+Royals+Present+their+New+Year+Wishes+hI7ewjUjkUYl.jpg (outfit)

Well, when I recently saw the queen at the New Year's receptions, I suspected her of letting her hair grow again (which would have been great), but considering the photos above, it's entirely clear that she didn't have this plan for now... After all, I could admire Paola's fancy strawberry earrings again which are perfectly in line with her cosy greenish clothing beneath the coat -unfortunately not so much with the latter.
