On June 7, 2012 Queen Paola visited the "Concertgebouw" in Bruges that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year:

The “chocolate (garments) and vanilla (hair colour viz. complexion) strategy” always works fine on her. I like that wavy blouse exhibiting different patterns inside and outside. Moreover, Paola's body-hugging skirt has a good cut. Her eyes are beyond beautiful i.m.o. (I know I’m repeating myself), including the lashes which definitely need additional care, that is to say: more mascara. The queen could take a leaf out of Princess Claire’s book …

I've always liked that jacket!
Today, June 20, Queen Paola attended a reception for ambassadors at the Royal Castle in Laeken and wore one of her typical combinations - the necklace is a good and necessary blur of colour here:

Thank you for posting a close-up photo of Queen Paola's dark cyan jacket which I already admired on June 12 . Now, I'm even more impressed by that gorgeous looking fabric. Besides, I share your opinion on "a good and necessary blur of colour", yet I would have preferred the more sophisticated coral jewelry set from June 8 http://1.nieuwsbladcdn.be/Assets/Ima...0.jpg.h600.jpg here.

Queen Paola at the "Prelude to the National Day" concert in Brussels today, July 20, wearing a nice recycled outfit in silver/grey and looking lovely:

That's an interesting design on the jacket. However, I am not liking the look.

Queen Paola looks very nice here, conservative but with an original twist in the jacket design; besides, she is one of the few ladies in her age group who can wear this shade of grey without an ageing side effect, it suits her coloring.

She does look stunning. That shade of green is gorgeous. Only, I don't like the hat.

I think she looks wonderful. I even like her hat.. She has the panache to pull it off and it gives her outfit a bit of a fun touch! She is a very chic and youthful-looking queen.

As for me, Paola’s new(?) Tahitian pearl necklace was the most remarkable item here –I had nearly suspected her of disliking black pearl jewelry which would have been kind of “tragic” because Tahitians exceedingly flatter ladies with light-coloured hair i.m.o.. From now on, the queen has merited “Pearlina” viz. “Perl ina” in Italian as alternative term of endearment to the common affectionate form “Paol ina” .
On July 21, Queen Paola appeared much more like a ravishing, dreamy fairy tale queen http://portfolio.soirmag.lesoir.be/m...serialNumber=2 than like an ordinary human being from this world. Her hat somehow reminded me of those elaborate braided or twisted hairstyles in her younger days whereas the fractionally translucent coat http://s4.concentra.be/imgpath/000/0...-960x700-n.jpg kept up with the gorgeous looking dark cyan jacket from June 12 and 20.

This outfit by itself doesn’t rank among Queen Paola’s most exciting garments i.m.o., nevertheless Her Majesty (a highly creative and tasteful woman) succeeds in increasing its value with the aid of distinguished jewelry http://portfolio.lesoir.be/main.php?...serialNumber=2 and her current tan from the holidays APA-PictureDesk (Paola’s usual fair vanilla complexion wouldn’t have provided such a nice contrast). That massive gold necklace featuring different gemstone spheres looks particularly breathtaking.

I completely agree, udyusa! Queen Paola skillfully manages to integrate virtually all colder shades (from lilac ones over blue till cyan and emerald green) into her geometrically delightful outfit viz. jewelry. Albeit I lack in an exact reasoning, I think that she is a "shawl woman", looking brilliant in whatever kind of shawl (whether queenly noble, fancy or just cozy) .
