Generally I'm not too fond of pale outfits on Paola (a natural blond with fair skin -unless tanned from a holiday), but in this case, her vibrantly coloured accessories (a delicate, nicely patterned scarf and, eminently, her marvellous coral jewelry) definitely improve the queen's overall appearance i.m.o. .
On May 8, 2012 Queen Paola was present at a meeting with the "Femmes de la Paix - Vredesvrouwen (Peacewomen) of 2011 and 2012" at the Royal Castle in Laken (Brussels):

Paola looks enchanting here -turquoise shades should be among the most frequent ones for her to wear, they make her beautiful cyan eyes gleam... Those subtle colour deviations of the outfit's top, jacket and skirt particularly attracted my attention.

A very nice combination - I especially like the scarf and the jacket!
Today, May 15, Queen Paola was in Melsele wearing a nice combination of pink and black:

Queen Paola at a lunch hosted by Queen Elizabeth to mark her Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle on May 18,
looking lovely in an elegant female suit. That soft colour always looks great on her:

A definite miss, in my opinion.
The colour of the suit is nice, but the blouse underneath is truly horrible.

I have to say, for me, Paola was the best dressed. Love the color and cut and the blouse underneath was just a great touch. And the bronze accessories were great, much better than basic black. I loved her look.

The color is lovely, but not the dress itself.

I don't think the suit fits well; the color and print blouse are attractive but the blouse looks odd around the neckline.

Me too! All separate pieces are really tasteful i.m.o., yet this combination -including Queen Paola's jewelry- looks extremely busy altogether, featuring various patterns viz. designs (horizontally nested top, jacket with zigzag structures, scarf with flower print, long necklace plus ornamented diamond earrings)... In any case, I have a soft spot for Paola wearing zigzag garments -she manages to appear elegant and rather cool at once .

The queen is just perfectly dressed for the occasion! I always loved those fancy strawberry earrings which define her whole outfit here. Paola has smartly chosen two unichrome, nicely contrasting pieces while abstracting the little strawberry "dots" in order to gather them as pearls around her neck.

I think the look would have been better if the skirt was the same color as the top. That is a lovely shade on her.

Queen Paola visiting organizations in Mariakerke today, June 8, wearing pants and a nice top and jacket combination
(recycled I think). I like the colour combination of the top/jacket with the jewellery.
