I've never seen it before either, Rice! Irrespective of its non-perfect tailoring, Paola's shiny zigzag jacket verifies how she frequently manages to appear elegant and rather cool at once i.m.o.. The peaks optically beautify Her Majesty's waistline.

From head to hip it's a winsome combination of shades for Paola i.m.o.. The simple intensive royal blue jacket underscores her vanilla complexion and blond hair while that red part of the scarf provides a dramatic accent. I also like her figured sandy top -I would even have opted for a monochrome skirt in the same colour...

Today's outfit is just okay -certainly not one of her greatest hits, I would say… Anyhow, the greenish colour of Paola's horizontally striped jacket works especially fine with her cyan eyes (like the entire range from blue to green does), yet it neither charms by means of an appealing pattern nor a beautifully structured fabric (Her Majesty usually regales me ). And why not take along a pair of her various nice coral earrings in order to build the Italian flag ?

Paola wore this outfit e.g. in 2010 when she handed out the Prize Queen Paola for Education and I totally loved how her multicoloured skirt resembled children's paintings befitting the occasion.

Yes, but truth be told, I prefer ruby or garnet shades on her -this flame red somehow jars with the queen's thoroughly gracile looks i.m.h.o.. Nevertheless, the geometry of Paola's outfit (symmetrical black collar, pocket and sleeve details interacting with gimp embroidery along the diagonal parting) appeals to me very much.

It is the last month for Paola as queen consort of the reigning king of the Belgians... She was present at Albert's abdication announcement on July 3, 2013:

Green is my favourite colour, so I am pleased to see this pretty shade! The floral fabric is lovely, and the cut of the suit is good. I just don't love her accessories. The hat and purse don't match the green or each other. And the brooch, earrings, and gold bracelets and watch are all in clashing metals/stones. Oh well.

I like Paola's dress and shoes and the shade of green used is also nice. The only thing I'm not too keen on is her hat.

I was hoping for a yellow outfit, like in 1993, because I think that coulour suits her well.
