But the hat I am usually a huge fan of real hats but that one is just odd. It looks like a costume hat perched on her head.

Lovely to see this outfit again! She wore it in China on June 23, 2015. Love it.

I'm not sure about the necklace! My first thought is garland on a tree, but the fit of this dress is flattering on Mathilda.

Lovely dress but the necklace looks like she borrowed from Maxima's costumey pieces

I dont care much for the dress itself but her overall was nicely styled with that necklace.

I think the necklace made the outfit, which was otherwise a bit of a two piece brown sack. And the necklace is in my taste, so obviously, I like it. Not everyone's cup of tea, I do realize that.
Given that the appearance was design related, I think it a reasonable time to choose a piece of jewelry with a strong thematic design. It could also work at a visit to a bubble factory.
