Thanks, I was imagining a much larger animal since the hair seems so long. But it does get a lot colder there than where I live so longer hair would make sense.

I've always like this blue outfit and it would be interesting to see if HM does change this uniform and what she would choose.

I'm still trying to decide on whether or not I like Margrethe's "uniform". I love the colour but I do agree with roseroyal that it's quite reminiscent of a (grand) bathrobe.

All the queens are beautifully co-ordinated, but I agree with others - Queen Margrethe is in the best dress. I too like the colour combination of her dress and the wrap.

Yesterday, March 9, Queen Margrethe handed out the Queen's watch again during a parade in Copenhagen and unveiled a painting of painter Mathilde Fenger, entitled "For King and People - H.M. Queen Margrethe II. inspects 1. Livgardebataljon at anniversary parade on Rosenborg drill ground in 2015".

Queen Margrethe struck a wonderful look at the Fane Inauguration. I love the colour, adore the gorgeous style and elegant length of her Swing Coat and even the TT hat can't put me off since it seems to have become one of her signature styles and kind of suits her.

Queen Margrethe just looks magnificent being Queen Margrethe!

Swing coats are an acquired taste. I find the movement of a swing coat makes it a hoot to wear!

Definitely my taste. I've had a lovely one for several years and, to be honest, it's still fashionable but sensible and made for our winter which is a lot milder than that of Denmark.

Yesterday, April 12, Queen Margrethe handed out this year's Rungstedlund Award at the Karen Blixen Museum in Rungsted. It's awarded to people who made a notable contribution in an area which interested late Danish author Karen Blixen.
