There is something very timeless about the navy velvet evening gown, I really like it on the Queen!

I was surprised and disappointed the Queen didn't go with more of a color-themed wardrobe for her Jubilee. She did so well with the all-white ensemble with the ruby jewels. I just wish she had continued it forward.

I really liked the snow white outfit and found it was a nice idea. Hat and fur looked nice and regal, too. Though I must say that such a white outfit of course makes a not so nice contrast to her teeth in close-ups.

Velvet can easily look a bit cheap, but this one is another good example as to how the posture and personality of a woman can make such a dress look regal. I like it!

She looks so regal in the velvet dress with all of her magnificant jewels!
In photos the dress almost looks black but when the light hits it a certain way you can see that it's blue.

Margrethe has the carriage, height, personality and bearing to carry off a lot of styles that many can't. Given that, the midnight blue evening gown was dramatic and regal and gave her the air of a Renaissance queen. You can't ask for more than that!

Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner for the Diplomatic Corps yesterday, February 1,
wearing a long dress in a great shade of green. The dress is really nice on her, but not
together with the fur. She should have pulled it off earlier

Wow! Margrethe certainly knows how to nail the Gala Dress look. I am not a fan of lots of lace but I think she has just made a convert. The dress looks divine and only she would wear a totally green dress and finish it with the breathtaking Danish Emerald Parure and make it work!

Definitely a magnificent gown and the shade suites Queen Margrethe to perfection.

One could say this dress was made by a huge spider, but by Margrethe's standards it must be one of her best. The jewels match the dark yellow teeth perfectly, the dress not so much I'm afraid.

It's unfortunate that she chose to repeat an already too frequently worn dress from 1997 on this occasion, and in addition a design which is not too flattering.
I'm quite certain that the lace overlay is actually exquisite material, but it photographs badly.

I don't like this at all and the necklace was unnecessary with the high neckline.

Royal dominatix comes to my mind, honestly, its so ugly, I appreciate that Margrethe is quite special in her choices but she can do so much better.

Sorry my Queen, but I hate it. The dress & the jewels.
Is it New Year soon?

Queen Margrethe in Rome today, April 11, wearing a nice dress with a matching scarf
- the original colour is the one on the first two pics, it looks different on pic 3 as to
the light conditions:

What a gorgeous purple and I love even more the beautiful pashmina, the colors go so well with the dress. Now this is how you accessorize! The dress is simple in design, but the color is so stunning. One of the better day looks for Daisy I've seen in a long time. Thank you, Iceflower.

You are most welcome, Baroness of Books!
Day 2, April 12, in Rome and a red combination for Queen Margrethe. A strong colour for a strong woman
I only dislike the collar and would have preferred a black or white top underneath the jacket:
