I was looking at previous pictures. Is it possible that she has 2 versions of the same dress? Looking at the shoulder of the dress it looks like she does!

No, I don't know why but that page flipped both images from 2017 and 2018 horizontally. The shoulder part is always on her right.

Whilst I initially thought the the dress had, had some "surgery" to flip it around for some unknown reason, I think WYCII is correct, the earlier pictures have probably been flipped for some reason. I am basing my view on that the Danish order is usually worn from the left shoulder down to the right hip (as evidenced by Mary below), whilst the image of Maxima at Fred's 50th birthday seems to have the order the other way around, indicating the image was flipped.

You're right, I looked a GettyImages and it does appear that the image from IG were flipped.

It also just dawned on me after searching for "Queen Maxima in Denmark" that the Queen wore her blue enthronization dress and jewels in Denmark for that visit.
Imo, such a look should have been one for the history books- iconic and never to be repeated again.

Max wore the blue enthronement dress and jewels for the state visit to Denmark. She wore the lilac one-shouldered gown on a different trip to Denmark for Fred's 50th birthday a few years later.
