These comments about Maxima's hair are so insulting to people with fine hair. Gosh, not everyone can have full, lush hair. And to suggest that the Queen needs to have someone professionally bouffant her hair every freaking day is ridiculous, especially since some of these are the same posters that complain about Catherine wearing her hair down and *gasp* move in the wind, or who complain that palace renovations of wiring and masonry is unreasonable.
The days of every hair being lacquered in place are over - actually, they were never here - we just didn't have the Internet.

An activity in the framework of the Orange Fund... that means the Queen looking like the neighbour-next-door asking for some sugar. As usual when it is about this sort of short "informative visits".
We have seen that when protocol requires so, Máxima immediately steps up. We could also see that Letizia does not (she left from Barajas Airport when the plane crash in France was not known, she wore the same clothes as during the arrival in Paris). An enormous difference between a Queen Máxima on State Visit and a Queen Letizia on State Visit.
Queen Máxima has no limit: she can always step up even more. She also has no bottom: she can fall through the ice, looking totally un-royal. Queen Letizia does not have these enormous differences, she remains her stylish self. I appreciate that, at the same time it is a pity she seldom does dress like a Queen. There is no "surprise element" in her appearances, let us say. But hey... we are talking about total different personalities and characters. Imagine every Queen looked the same? That would be boring...

A gorgeous shade of blue in the dress and the chunky necklace gives it a nice flair-she looks great!

Love the dress, necklace and the shade of blue. The outfit would have looked better if she had worn nude shoes, I think.

A fresh, colourful spring look for Máxima on day 1 of a 3-day visit to Myanmar today, March 30
- it's a Natan dress Máxima first wore last September:

It's indeed a fresh spring color but I find the fabric being textured and the print is a bit too much IMO. The hair is messy, how hard is it to put your hair up in a ponytail.

If the skirt pulls that much when you walk, the dress does not fit.
I actually made a square necked, pencil skirted dress in a very similar pattern years ago. It was a very happy thing to wear.
I love the variety Max gives us. I just wish she would work on how garments fit her.

I love it - very springlike and very Max. The lady next to her looks like she's wearing a prison uniform. A visit to what country?

I don't have a problem with this dress, I think it's lovely and I agree that it looks rather spring like, which is very appropriate for the season we're now in. The colours also look good on Maxima. The only thing I don't like as much here is her shoes, they're just not really my cup of tea.

iceflower mentioned in her post that Maxima is visiting Myanmar (Burma). She's there with the UN.

This is a lovely dress - I like the colours and the pattern and really like the asymmetrical fold at the neckline/shoulder area.

I'm not too keen on the brown dress, a little too dark - but it is nicely accessorised with the turquoise, which is a nice contrast.

The brown dress is from Dolce & Gabanna. The CPss of Sweden has it in dusty pink.

Now as you've mentioned it I've also remembered that lovely story of the girl designing a dress. A great idea!
In addition to the above posted pics here's a full view of today's dress!
And Máxima today wore another outfit of recycled blouse and pants:
