i loved maxima's fashion choices this time (she truly knows how to dress like a queen), with one exception: that summery dress in white with red and blue riveting. i am rather impartial to the queen wearing something which leaves her arms and shoulders so exposed on a public engagement. but... i understand that the engagement was outdoors and the weather was rather lovely and that she did indeed cover herself with a cardigan to enter the church.

her presence at the vatican was superb indeed. what a difference with the trumps (whose veils looked awkward at best) or even with letizia, who opted out of veil and long dress on her latest visit.
